i really like this very much
10/10, and i like the detail you put in the roads, they are untouched like its the first battles it will have.

HandsomeJack762 21 Jul, 2014 @ 5:54pm
be so sweet if it was all infantry

Hey man, ive been trying to mod this to have unlimited (or more than high) starting resources but i cant seem to get it to work. I know its a lot to ask, but can you make variants of these with more resources? I like to just build up and fully assault (Like in real life, heh, no army sends in 50 troops at a time )

Thank you very much for the details but alas I don't know how to create maps and probably would not have the patience to do so even if I knew how. If you create a map that only allows infantry and perhaps a jeep or armored car I would be glad to gift you some Steam credit ($20 or so) for you efforts.

Open your map that is now finished and save it... (do not export)... Close everything and open note pad... Click file and open. Navigate to your maps ID.scar file which you will find here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes 2\CoH2\Data\Scenarios\MP select your maps ID.scar file and open.... Delete what ever you see in that note pad window and copy and paste what you see in coh2.org onto the note pad and save... Close not pad and open your map in builder and export your map job done...

Thats been up a while... Yes I can do that... But not to these maps which are purpose built for vehicles etc... And City Blocks 3 will also be for both vehicles and infantry... Also applying the code is very easy indeed... If you know how to adjust the population cap you can do this too; its exactly the same... Copy and paste it straight in it should work... Its up on the coh2.org website as it is supposed to be in your note pad.
FalconEin 7 Jun, 2014 @ 3:30pm
I played City Blocks 2 and it was fun but I'm talking about actually restricting even building vehicles. Someone posted some code to do so but that's beyond me. Supossedly you can take a custom map and add this code and only certain units can be produced. I'll see if I can find the prior link

FalconEin@

Its very easy to do that i've blocked units befor on some of my workshop maps.
AllyOmally  [author] 4 Jun, 2014 @ 8:08am
City Blocks 2 Holland is 80% infantry only (I can mod any map to be infantry only completely but I wouldnt for this map) and a complete Artillary block would require modding too but Ive not looked into that... Try City Blocks 2
FalconEin 3 Jun, 2014 @ 8:35pm
Ally, how hard would it be to create a version that allowed infanty only and perhaps light vehicles (no tanks or arty)?
Iron Warriors 22 May, 2014 @ 4:32pm
@AllyOmally
Yeah my 1st map got alot of negative votes too for no reason sadly keeped me at 4/5 yeah i'm getting western front U.S.A cant wait to kill me some yanks with new german units :3
AllyOmally  [author] 22 May, 2014 @ 4:23pm
Thanks for your comment SZ.... 12 negative votes 8( most of them in the first fews days of launch and no comment even to say why. Holds me at four stars. Western Front Armies make sure you get the DLC...
Iron Warriors 22 May, 2014 @ 3:43pm
Wow i loved this map it has gave me so much new iders for map makeing :3
This map was a work of art in my books and should have 5/5 not 4/5

The Buildings etc are in the world builder. And we feel that there isnt enough content in the world builder to expand much further in what maps look like... You will get the same trees bushes flowers grass lamps walls fences bridges vehicles and buildings reused again and again, but in different enviroments. As for resource points and areas of the game that can be modified like poppulation cap etc whatever can be done is being done... Maps are becoming extreme now for them to stand out and thats not a bad thing... But its hardly WW2... I would rather be given the chance to build an acuurate WW2 map than fumble along with what I have at my disposal at the moment. We need Allied forces on this game badly!!!
Murai 16 May, 2014 @ 12:13am
I was wondering because I don't recall seeing these buildings and other stuff in the campaign (which I haven't finished yet) The fact that modded content can be used expands the possibilities for map makers by a huge amount. Maybe we'll start seeing modern maps with more custom content pop up around the workshop. :D
AllyOmally  [author] 15 May, 2014 @ 6:26am
Resources in the original game... I can easily mod them anytime... Why do you ask FearFox? You hinting at something lol?
Murai 15 May, 2014 @ 2:31am
Did you use any custom content for this map? Or were all the resources in the original game?
AllyOmally  [author] 27 Apr, 2014 @ 9:36pm
The top down does no map any justice. That is why I post screenshot. I see far too many (so called) city maps with fewer buildings than a small town or placed so close together your view is constantly blocked. The building placement and quantity was defined by tactical elements, vehicle/troop movement and how they react to the terrain primarily. I am glad you think it looks incredible.
ohh i need tums 27 Apr, 2014 @ 2:38pm
The top down looked really blocky and unprofessional but the sheer amount of buildings and perfect placement makes it look incredible
Napoleon2587 17 Apr, 2014 @ 2:13am
Interesting map!
That gives a thumb up!

Click forum and on the right click workshop and then just type what your looking for I have posted how to do stuff in there with links... http://www.coh2.org/topic/12410/how-to-custom-population-cap <<< Follow the instruction to the letter...

Hi, i'm Aaron 9 Feb, 2014 @ 7:34am
this map is one my all tiem favorites its big enough that you can lose territory and not be to screwed over while small enough that it doesnt take forever to get somewhere. Thank you AllyOmally!
AllyOmally  [author] 9 Feb, 2014 @ 6:34am
Update 09/02/2014 Popcap raised to 400... Note all feedback/suggestions welcome!
Rodd Doward 7 Feb, 2014 @ 11:32am
I really love this map but i feel it would be awesome if you could raise the pop cap to something higher. Dunno if its just me but I like to have big armies on big maps. Either way still love it Gj!
bjorneby79 5 Feb, 2014 @ 1:14pm
Good job dude.
=(e)= Lemonater47 4 Feb, 2014 @ 5:30pm
Football with tanks!!!!!

Also the rest of the map is good and very tense with the line of site mechanic. Sent my men around a corner and the whole 6 man squad got ran over by a tank that just happened to be drving past. Good stuff.
Delysid 4 Feb, 2014 @ 4:56pm
Could you add victory points? I like both game types, if it's not too much trouble.
Rixty 4 Feb, 2014 @ 6:39am
It's amazing.Good job dude.
AllyOmally  [author] 3 Feb, 2014 @ 11:54pm
Yeah i had put rain in and allowed night to day to pass with lightening etc But decided to launch as a lovely summer day instead... The Frame Per Secound count dips with lightening and rain is added strain on lesser graphics cards. I have watched friends on these night to day maps and rain and lightening maps (difficult to see and stuttering FPS does not amount to decent enjoyable game play)
As a map builder I have a responsibility to the majority of gamers. I test my maps vigourously and beyond what it can handle. I could put it all in and it would run smoothly on Ultra for me. (But what about all the people who would struggle)
Beerbryan 3 Feb, 2014 @ 6:52pm
I dont know why but city levels are always my favorite. i had this one rts that had only 1 city level and 90% of the time on played on it. that rts also had a very advanced weather system and day/night time changes
Voice94DK 2 Feb, 2014 @ 12:29pm
