This mod used to be working very well but now it's not working. I reinstalled several times.

Way better than restarting via the main menu. Mod is currently working - make sure you are also subscribed to the mod loader and enable the mod.

Already in the game.
Just like in Slay The Spire: Go back to the main menu, the fight will restart when you will load your run.

You know what would be cool actually? If you could configure how many restarts you could do. That would cover situations like misclicks or particularly dumb mistakes without ruining the game.

Sugar Wolf: plink targeting is the same if you play the cards in the same order. I think you can vary random targeting slightly by changing the order you play them. I've noticed I get different random imps/morsels from cards with different play order, sometimes.

My argument for "should be in the base game" is "the restart button baits you into destroying your run"

This is a great QoL feature that probably should be in the base game. All it does it circumvent the process of returning to the main menu and resuming your game automatically. This isn't some sort of game changing cheat. From what I've seen, the RNG is mostly seeded. So all cards draws, enemies, and drops aren't affected by this. However I have noticed that random targeting is NOT affected by seeding. So cards like Plink (damage random enemies) and Drain (discard a random card), won't always choose the same targets every time. Whereas in StS the RNG is fully based on the seed. So I guess, TECHNICALLY, you could totally abuse this and keep trying to get the perfect outcome for a random roll... but I doubt it's worth it in most cases.


If anything it helps people who make bad decisions in the game, like myself, learn from those mistake and make better choices.Theoretically resulting in less of a need to even use the button. Thanks for the great mod.

I had many fights lost by small mistake I did at early stage of fight, even something as minor as using wrong card because I had 2 but one had upgrade I wanted to play first and I didn't notice I am picking the wrong one. My own fault? Yea, sure, but it feels terrible to loose because of that tiny mistake, so this helps (Yes I know it was already in by backing out into menu and going in again, but this is QoL for that kind of moment)

I wouldnt agree that this should be in the game. It seems to break the game. You can savescam the game like that, thats not the idea right? Im ok with this as a mod but I hope it wond be in the game. Takes away the tension.

so many people mad about something that already Exist in game. Also the point of most mods are things that are more convenient or able to play different way. No one is forcing you to use this mod but i for one LOVE it.

@player I cant count the amount of times I've restarted from a failed attempt to turn it around and win. Sure the RNG compared to StS isnt as big, but saying it wouldn't make a big difference isn't the most accurate. Either way love the mod!

Exactly, it's already in the game, so I'm not sure what the complaints are about. Petition to change how saving and exiting works or something instead of getting mad at a modder. Also, there isn't nearly enough RNG in this game for restarting to make a huge difference. In fact, the battle (at least with the current method, I haven't tried the mod yet) starts with the same seed, so you draw the same cards, the same enemies come in the same order, etc. Sure, some foreknowledge can go a decent ways, but if your deck isn't up to snuff, it's almost certainly going to be an unwinnable battle.
