Forum link is dead. Also, any chance we could get the source? The original IA3 is dead and not working, would love to build off this version instead.

Question sir! I want to set this up on a LAN to play with some mates. However, I would also like the ability to spawn and command friendly AI. Is this possible in the current version?

@stigen007 [CYDO], The mission is designed for multiplayer, so those bots will not show in multiplayer (You can host a lan). However, In single player, you can join their group, take leadership and tell them to move.

Uh, how do you move the troops in single? The bots. They're just standing there.

@MaxxGold, I did a search, and the skip.sqf file skips time. I do not know why it was removed from this version, nor what effect not having it has on the mission.
The next time I update it, it will not have that error any more, but it shouldn't be a problem for you, if it is, tell me, and I'll update it.

When I start Invade & Annex I get the skip.sqf file not found. Is this ok ?

@Joric™: We run this on our clan's dedicated server, This version has not been uploaded because the admins have not uploaded it yet, but the previous versions have had no problems. I don’t think that this file is causing the crashes, but if it starts causing problems when we upload it, I will look for the cause, and until then try to upload a previous version.
@Eldiablo666: So everyone can choose their own loadouts.

I'm having an issue with running it Persistant on my server. It seems that once everyone has left, the server will crash, reset itself, and we loose all progress. I hope this is simply something on my side and not a common issue. Any thoughts?

Mission was updated, adding scripts for pilots to push players out helicoptors. UPSMON was updated. An updated version of chemlights.sqf allows players to attach IR strobes onto themselfs.

look what Ive done, changed a popular mission that everyone knows Ahoy World made, he credited them a bunch of times, they even contacted him and everythings fine, quit looking for something to bitch about and let Ahoy World take care of their own business, if they had asked you guys to protest this sort of thing in support of them I would understand, but apparently you guys want soemthing to piss and moan about and are completely unaware of the purpose of ahoy world and modding communities.

When you subscribe to it, steam will download the file to : C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\[USERNAME]\Saved\steam/

Look for a folder that is similar to : "invade%20&%20annex%20-altis-%20@%20aac%20airfield.altis"

Then there is a PBO with the same name - That is the mission file.

Something is seriously broken in this since the Mar 3 update. I can't get the buzzards up to enough speed before the end of the runway now and crash at the end. Not sure what you did, but it definitely broke some things. Also the winds are always so high that even in 'calm' conditions, trying to HALO in you get dragged on the ground 100-200m and oftentimes die by getting dragged over rocks.

This is now updated to use newer versions of scripts, and the AI is now controlled by the Urban Patrol Script ; making the AI much smarter and enter buildings.

of course they are, how do you think missions mods and other content were passed around before steam workshop came along,
if you had tried to post the edited mission on any of the other formats the moderators would have let you know to contact the original Author to seek permission to use their work before they would let you post it up,

Suppose it's one of the pitfalls of Steam workshop as it's not moderated as such in terms of what content gets put up, if you had tried this on Armaholic or PWS you would have been pointed in the right direction before they'd have let you post the edit version

I did credited Ahoy World several times in game. I never ever said that I had made it, I have always said I modified it. I also gave a link to it in the discription clearly saying that this is an edit.

Razgriz33 from Ahoy World contacted me yesterday, and I asked him if he wanted me to take it down, and he said no.

I said "share what I had done" because anyone can go and download the regular Invade and Annex from their site in the discription, but I have modified it, by moving the base, adding more vehicles, adding FOBs, adding a shooting range, adding more scripts. That's what I am claiming that I had done.
I am currently working on adding Opfor player slots, and eventually, that will be what I had done.
Ahoy World made Invade and Annex. They deserve the credit for it.

Ok, look here's how it usually works,
You're free to edit and change anything you want on the map and you can host it on a server if you wish, but to come along and post it up here saying look what I've done is not on, all you've done is move a few items 100 meters on the map and posted it here as if it's your own doing with no mention of the original Author or development team at Ahoy, who have put 1000's of hours work and years writing, editing and re-editing the scripts that make all your efforts works as they do, not to mention, the other numerous authors of the internal addons in the mission such as the VAS & Revive scripts, they were created by other ARMA community members,

What is that suppose to mean? Description may say edit of I&A, but that doesnt really mean you made it. Would be at least nice if you had the common courtesy to credit the developers of the I&A.
