I've also added a very small and very faint smoke emitter to the chimney of the brake van.
The only issues I can see is that I'd set it up like a bogie carriage - the bolsters being a single mesh that would show the cargo when full, with the 1-plank bases acting like bogies. Except that would mean that the bolsters would still turn in corners even when they weren't loaded.
I mean I'm sure it's a minor issue noone else would really care about., and it'd be pretty easy to put one together. But still. I dunno, I'll give it some thought.
@mallard4468: Honestly these are already fairly balanced for midgame already due to their low weight and decent high speed. If anything they're OP for early game due to being too light and too fast (I used my mod to set speed limits to help counter that), but I didn't want to create a new and an old version so its sort of a compromise down the middle. The balancing factor comes more in terms of train length - you can get the capacity and they'll still be profitable, but you need the facilities and infrastructure to handle it, and I feel like that's a decent compromise.
