found the way thanks. Turns out the place was super glitchy and the door was hidden behind. was a nice extra story but sadly most bad guys were too easy to pass by despite legendary mod. waiting for the next stories!!

if my memory serves me well (also for whatever reason i didnt get a notification for this message im sorry) kaerndal's house is it in the island? if so then just stick close to the main building there should be a trap door near there somewhere

How do I get into Kaerndal house? I killed the mercenaries, not sure what to do next

Walk all the way to the dawnstar sanctuary entrance and from there swim directly forward into the sea, if you don't move directions you'll reach it

Went to dawnstar and asked the worker but now can't find the island

if you've made it to the courier central, and nobody is saying anything, then after that you're supposed to go to dwanstar, find the mine entrance, and you'll see a worker there. talk to him and he'll tell you whats next to do if he doesnt... come back here and i'll tell you

there was no dialogue from the courier in the courier station so I have NO idea what I'm supposed to do. HELP!!!!

It should be right in the entry, if not. Then the chest right next to breezehome.

Its most likely because of a breezehome mod that is incompatible. The chest has been moved from the guardhouse next to breezehome.

Not getting any 'note' in the house or outside the guardhouse.

Its a follow the clues type of quest. You read the letter in breezehome talk to the courier outside then head to the central which is on the road to dragons bridge

Follow the clues is fine with me bro, actually I like those types more immersive then following markers. It's like be a detective and figuring things out on your own.

Oh and as a suggestion, you could make a mail box outside of Breeze Home that the letter can go in. Be more immersive and realistic, then a then a courier presumably breaking into a locked house to deliver a note.

unfortunately since i can't make quest's (some issue with the papyrus which reads every line as a failed one) this is one of those follow the clue's "quest", i placed the note in a chest to the right of the door of the whiterun guard house.

I'll look again, I have a Breeze Home mod, which could have conflicted. If it's because of the other mod could you please give me the note's I'd do I could use console to place it at me? Also does this activate as a quest in your journal or is it those type of mods that isn't a official quest, just follow the clues?

I'll change the description! yes its supposed to be on the floor right in front of the fireplace. (sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language) you don't need to own the house for the note to appear, i tested it out and it appears (for me) im going to see if i can't find a way to fix that.

So, by returning to your home in Whiterun are you referring to Breeze Home? And you said on the "ground", does that mean on the ground outside of the home or inside? If its inside of the home, that then would be the "floor" I looked all over outside and inside and found no note. I broke into Breeze Home to look for the note, does one have to own the house for the note to appear? I'm on a new playthrough., so don't own the house yet. If that's the case, then as a suggestion it should be in the description.
