Also if using LWOTC, Ted Jam makes them compatible for spawning.

I tried this mod and faced them pretty early on. When do these muton variants spawn at the earliest? Also have you considered raising their FL requirements since they are pretty rough at the start?

This is great, a sniper with a smoothbore gun and tank armor... ummmm, maybe I'll need a squad of space marines to deal with him.

Why? Why are we giving 12 health and 3 armor to a sniper? On a threat level where the worst thing you can encounter is an advent mec who CAN'T use cover?

Probably the only enemy that is going on my ban list. Even ADVENT rocketeers aren't this BS.

Unrealistic effects are ok, but the volume of the effects is far too loud.

Here is my adjustment for them to remain Sniper Variant but still higher tier then your common muton -
Doubled health, bumped up their Aim to 90 and 100 accordingly, adjusted to pierce 2 armour and shred 1, should keep them a threat and high profile target to get rid off.

Same as everyone in the comment section. Love the enemies except for the noise and over the top particles when firing. Unsubing for now until it gets fixed.

As much as I find these enemies interesting, and potentially fun to deal with, I'm unfortunately going to have to be counted among the people who just can't handle the monstrous effects tied to their guns. Way too extreme, in both volume *and* particle effects.

You made pirate mutons. They even have an energy musket. This is... so cool. I actually think it fits pretty neatly into the game, despite them not looking as manufactured as the other aliens. Really cool. I will be using them in my mod project

Not a fan of a lot of your enemies but these guys have been a pretty good addition. They provide a nice tactical consideration while not feeling grossly unfair. Models look awesome too. Only criticism I have about them is that the FX on their gun is a bit much, and also the corpses have a tendency to spasm violently and fly around.

Agreed. Love the Prowler's gun, but the impact flash radius is too large and makes it seem like a graphical bug. I would also make the round stand out more, its almost invisible. Only way to see the round is for the gun to miss up into the sky so it doesn't hit any of the landscape as it travels.

Could the radius of the weapon blast visuals be reduced somehow? The FX are quite cool, but I am getting headaches every time they shoot.
(Besides the "BYE ARMOR" headache they inflict :D)

These guys are badass. I actually love the BFG flash that comes from their rifle. I mean, he strips off ALL of your armor in one go. Not even a blaster launcher can do that.

Would it be possible too tone down the visual FX of their sniper rifles? i like the idea of a sniper muton a lot, but whenever they shoot it feels like it hits with the force of an alien grenade launched from a mag grenade launcher, but none of the AOE that would entail. its sorta jarring from the visual effect vs the fact it only hits one soldier.

Just fought one on my 5th mission on Commander, Haven't been hit yet, but you REALLY don't want these guys lining up shots on yours. Damn near had a heart attack from the explosion their rounds make, would be more lore friendly without those, IMO.
TIP: Make sure you get to tier 2 weapons ASAP with this mod installed, these guys are TROUBLE...

Really love their design but the HUGE explosive glow when they fire was very off putting for me personally so had to uninstall it, but still understand if others like it.

I know its a logn shot but is there ANY WAY you can make this guy as a squad mate XD I still use the old Playable Aliens mod (WOTC) and its not been updated in years.

If you sir (or anyone in fact) can find a way to add aliens as a perm squadmate (not just with console commands or for one battle) I would be so happy ^^

That aside, THIS IS AWESOME, he will go well with the armored Viper mod I got too ^^
