No, it does not. It just prevents you from consistently getting a full-screen pop-up for anomalies. You'll still have to research them later.

I had to give you the best award i can give, the golden unicorn! Those damn anomalies have plagued me for a while and having 20+ auto exploring science vessels meant i had a pop up every few seconds. My sanity has been restored and my will to keep playing as well!

This is absolutely awesome! Thank you so much for finding a way to suppress the anomaly pop-ups, they were driving me nuts.
