Can there be an option for a single keybind to cycle through the speeds?
Since speed 4 and 5 don't seem to be vanilla, I geuss I mean: ⏸︎ --> ▶ --> ▶▶ --> ▶▶▶ --> ⏸︎ etc.

Looks like it was a bug with those two items both having hide_from_build_menu, and making a fake building menu button, l guess the devs never added a fix for it...

Hey ChoGGi, I'm running this and for some reason this breaks the keybinds for the buildings power switch and pipe valve... which is unfortunate as those are practically my top two buildings I use the keybind for! The keybinds still don't work no matter which key I try to assign.

Alright fine, AHK does the job. It wasn't too hard to figure out. Would've liked to have it contained in one executable. But this will work.

It's not one func, each one of those is a separate func. It can be done, I just don't want to :)

I mean, I can look into using AHK. I have used it in a couple games to setup autowalk functions. It's a little annoying to have to remember to launch it. And I'm not great at the scripting language.

But what I was hoping was that you'd be able to find that menu-bound Ctrl-Click function which applies a command to all same-type things on the map, or pack/unpack 5 drones, and add it to the keybinds list in this mod so that I could change it to something else like Shift-Click or even Space-Click for example.

If you say it can't be done, then I'll move on and try AHK like you said. But I'm still hoping at this point.

Though you might want to look into autohotkey, you can make it rebind keys for only certain usb devices (I use it for the media keys on my keyboard)

What you're looking to do is make pressing ctrl on a keyboard (or fake keyboard) make a different key be pressed?

I've no idea if that's possible? Never had the need to do that. I would think something like AntiMicroX would be better for that sort of thing?

(if you're not familiar with the DWS controller I'm talking about, it functions as a keyboard and mouse, sending keyboard messages, not joypad messages)

Hi, I'm keybinding the game to be compatible with a Darkwalker Shotpad trackpad controller with at least the main shortcuts that I care about if that I definitely can't fit them all on just this controller.

One thing that vexes me about my results so far is that my Ctrl key on the Shotpad is the joystick click. The main reason that I would use the Ctrl key in-game is the multi-building toggle, like for example (Ctrl-LeftClick) turning on/off all the subsurface heaters at the same time. This would be a very awkward left-hand pinching motion with the joystick and left trigger that I don't like. And it looks like your mod does not have any way to change the Ctrl modifier in this use-case to a different key.

Is there any way that this function could be patched into your mod as another modifiable keybind or is it just not meant to be?

Hopefully the dialog 1234 doesn't override the set speed 1234 anymore.
You can manually bind in options though, dialog will still work.

I think I did a mod like that, but only to the cats since the order doesn't stay the same. I should see about making them ordered by name and doing keybinds.


Map switching shouldn't take much effort.

One thing I would really appreciate is the ability to switch between surface - underground - asteroids in B&B via hotkey. Perhaps Ctrl + 1-5? I know not many people like B&B, but I feel this would make it quite a bit smoother.

Btw. it's a bit baffling to me that hotkeys have not been implemented to a higher degree in SM from the start. Being able to go (build menu 1) -> (building 1) via keyboard would IMO improve the gameplay a lot, but I assume that's beyond the scope of this mod :-)

After installing the mod, for some reason, the area of influence of other buildings in the build mode is no longer shown when you press Ctrl.

Although weirdly enough I think the problem did not appear until the update of the "Fix Bugs" mod this morning...

After the latest update of this mod, I cannot open event messages anymore after loading a game (e.g. anomalies, projects). I am pretty sure this mod is responsible since deactivating it fixes the problem.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Okej, i instaled your library too (i must missed it at first time) and now game don´t crushing :)...but - there are no your new keybindings :(((..still can´t switch through the new buildings :/..any idea ?

Well, I can make the camera follow absolutes: Holding A will always move it to the left side of the map no matter how the camera is oriented, but I'm not sure of the maths to make left relative to the view port.
