@Caliban, I’m sorry for the late response. It has been ages since I last really opened and browsed through my Steam. I don’t remember exactly, but I think I left those guns to be deployed almost anywhere on the battlefield because almost every map has terrain elevation, especially in the deploy zones. These guns have almost no firing arcs, so they need to be placed somewhere where the projectile trajectory is clear. Otherwise, they will shoot the ground over and over again, or simply not shoot at all. So, it was to avoid rendering them useless. You must rush your troops to defend them, of course, depending on where you deployed them. I hope this answers your questions! Good gaming!

Hey guys, hey @ImonHBnLT, the cannon (tested in custom battle) works good, but it can be deployed wherever you want on the whole battlefield when placing your troops before the battle starts. This has to be a bug or is this just possible in custom battle and not in campaign? would make it ridicously overpowered and therefore unplayable for me. Thanks for an answer!

Hi would it be somehow possible that you add this gun to scramble for the far east mod ? It would be amazing to play as a prussia and have this gun. I even would be ready to donate if you could do that ;)

You only need to do this once. However, if you use several mods at the same time, you may need to redo this...
And for the mod order, not necessary. The way mods changes the game are a bit messy in Shogun 2. It's great that we are allowed to mod it, but the way things works is complicated. For some mods that changes the same files you will need to use it first. For others, you'll need to use them after...

Also another quick question, you mentioned that someone said to put this mod before Radious but when you change the mod order, dont mods farther down the mod order overwrite the ones above? So 100pdr is 1st and Radious is 2nd, doesn't Radious overwrite the 1st? or is it the other way around?

Ahhh, that sounds tedious. So uncheck everything and re-check them on at a time. Now when all of the mods are checked in the order you want them, you dont have to do this again when relaunching the game?

When you launch the game, a box for the mod launcher will appear. Clear everything, then, enable one, launch the game, exit, enable the second, launch the game, and so on... Yeah, no easy way.

Hmm, ok. I ask because I had both subbed. and removed the old one but noticed I couldnt build them even tho i had all buildings and tech need. Then I saw the AI had one and captured it in a battle however the Arty became its own army with no movement points. Strange bug but im thinking its because I had both the original and this one subbed?

You don't need the original one. In fact, using both at the same time may broke the mod.

@Invicta, the original mod had a slight more curved firing arc, however, these cannons don't have any in game animation for muzzle elevation when shooting. As result, shots came from a higher angle than the cannons are pointed at. This, however, don't change the accuracy of the cannons, and they tend to miss a lot, usually killing friend and foe. I lowered the arc because of that. I know that several shots now tend to hit the ground pretty fast, but it's a misfire change built in to these cannons and I don't know how change that.
My advice would be to stand your troops behind the cannons. The enemy will charge you no matter what (even if you are the attacker), if you position the cannons in a place they can take the entire map. When the enemy gets closer, charge in. In my battles I barely miss any troops using this tactic.
If you know how to use PFM, you can change the firing arc easily.

mate the firing arc is so flat i kill more of my own troops than the enemy can we have a higher arc the problem with the cannons in this game is unless they are on a hill forget it i just had a battle on flat ground and destroyed more of my army than the enemy

If you can have them as retainers, but not train them, then maybe some incompatibility with other mods you are using. This mod changes several files and create some new ones, so, its easy to conflict with other mods...

I will legit cashapp you 5 bucks to make this compatable with radious unit pack 3 and remove the unit limits for everything in FOTS.

And you can have a maximum of 3 as retainers. They will be available retainers for Star Fort, Cannon Tower and Arsenal.

Just confirmed: the guns will be available to recruit after you meet the requisites bellow. Current recruiting 3 for my armies. They will be available as retainers, if you meet the requites for that too (mostly on the tower defense arts and buildings).

As far as I can tell by original description and the files modded, you will need tier 4 modernization development, Modern Army technology research and an Arsenal do build this artillery piece.
In my game I've not yet reach the modernization level 4, however, the gun is appearing normal over the description in the tech needed. Do you have meet all the requisitions?

At present, this mod cannot be recruited in the battle. You can only play in your choice. It's very interesting. Please repair this mod as soon as possible.
