Do you have any other mods enabled?
Have you edited the mod in any way?
I don't believe it's possible to edit maps from other mods without the 3d map file. And I don't have the original anymore. I've rebuilt te map from the ground up including new specialty regions in my next version. Which I'm still working on :)
@ Wheezy98, it very much depends on what you're referring to. If you're talking about a unit pack, I think it should work as is. If it's the whole overhaul, I don't think they're compatible. If it's the buildings pack... it should work, unless it adds in start province buildings.
Startpos (The file that contains the starting situation of all clans) can't be modded to be compatible with another startpos. So any mod that adds a new startpos is incompatible with mine. Mods that add things (events, traits, units, buildings, etc) are usually compatible, as long as they don't change the keys of the original buildings and units.
There are a couple of troubleshooting options you can try:
Go to to the appdata folder of FOTS. (Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts)
Delete the user.script.txt file if there is any, and try starting the game with only my mod again.
This has worked for some people in the past, and doesn't take too much time or effort.
If that doesn't work, delete all of the game, both in the folder just mentioned, as the whole installation folder. Reinstall a fresh copy and try a vanilla boot. If it works as intended, restart after activating this mod and see if it works. Takes more effort, but the most thorough possible fix you can try.
Other than that, I don't know what advice to give. I've never encountered the issue myself.
As far as I know, the mod should work just fine and be playable.
@Gutz, I'm not sure. When that issue happened with me, it was because I had the game installed since before the big update in May 2023. It changed how it loads mods. You could try to delete the scripts file in the appdata folder if you still have it. That was the issue I had after that update.
@ Gray, thank you! And I agree, would be cool to have a super long timeframe in which you go from Sengoku Jidai, to maybe post-colonization of Korea. Hard to make a functioning mod of, since it would take a long time and a lot of work. But thinking of possible concepts is always cool.
Also, does anyone know of any mods to increase difficulty that work well with the extra regions? I always find that the increased province density makes steamrolling easier.

I'm not familiar with the mod loader mod, doesn't the regular launcher's mod manager work fine?
The re-install, might have not deleted the scripts folder in Shogun's appdata folder. If it's there, please delete it.
Do you have any other mods turned on, and have you had the game installed for longer than a year and a half?
