There is an option to use the legacy menu system, then my mod should technically still function. I haven't tested it in a long time though. But if you're new I'd suggest sticking with official realm so you can still earn loot.

I appreciate it, though
GutsRage 18 Nov, 2022 @ 9:03pm
ill be honest I like more your version where u see actual avatar and not the symbol of the class which as a new player I have no idea what they really mean yet... other then "it's equipped on X person" hahaha
Triptych  [author] 10 Mar, 2022 @ 9:03am
Funny timing actually, today's QoL dev blog announced that they are integrating this feature, inspired by my mod, into the base game's new menu UI. So I think I'm all done here unless you use the legacy menus
Triptych  [author] 10 Mar, 2022 @ 8:49am
@Apollon I have been asked that before but I'm not looking to expand the features without an approved sanctioning. Loadout manager creates a custom file for tracking unused loadouts that I would need to parse and it would mean more work and upkeep around updates.
Apollon 10 Mar, 2022 @ 5:05am
Yes it works fine now thanks, you're a miracle worker!:) Would it be possible in the future to indicate a career uses an item, if that item is equipped on a loadout with the Loadout Manager Mod?
Triptych  [author] 9 Mar, 2022 @ 8:26pm
@Apollon Ah, the internal name for warrior priest was wh_priest, not wh_warriorpriest. Fixed and reuploaded, it should be good now.

And yeah the crash logs are very helpful, they give the error and the line of code it occurred on, so thanks.
Apollon 9 Mar, 2022 @ 6:20pm
I did just test it however, it was indeed equipped on warrior priest (and sister of the thorn). I equipped a new trinket on official realm, booted up modded realm and now the crash occured on the new item
Apollon 9 Mar, 2022 @ 6:10pm
@Triptych Just tried it again, got another crash unfortunately. (i dont know if the below info helps)

@Apollon Most likely happening because they were equipped on Warrior Priest and I didn't put out an update when he released. So its updated now, give it another shot and let me know if you're still having trouble
Apollon 9 Mar, 2022 @ 3:54pm
Hey, I am getting crashes consistently when mousing over specific items. Any ideas?

I wish they were more active with sanctioning mods...
Triptych  [author] 4 Jan, 2022 @ 9:02am
@Aloucard FS simply isn't sanctioning new mods anymore. Likely because the overhead of approving and maintaining them is too high.
The Merovingian 4 Jan, 2022 @ 8:24am
What needs to be working in Official realms ? Its damn helpful this mod and wonder sometimes why some mods stuck in Unsanctioned status
Bora-Dori 4 Dec, 2021 @ 3:08am
it must be approved. now!
Strom 1 Dec, 2021 @ 4:11pm
No problem, I appreciate the work you put into the mod.
Triptych  [author] 1 Dec, 2021 @ 3:51pm
Great, I appreciate the commit
Strom 1 Dec, 2021 @ 3:43pm
Yup, its working just fine on Modded.
Triptych  [author] 1 Dec, 2021 @ 3:25pm
@Strom I accepted your pull request and uploaded a new build. Check it out and let me know.

As far as sanctioning goes, I only see some re-sanctions for mods that needed patches. But I'm happy to get the new build up for the dedicated modded realmers out there.
Strom 1 Dec, 2021 @ 2:32pm
@Triptych I have forked your repo on github and updated both classes for the Sister and Outcast. Tested all working as well. If you can do a build and push up an update they have been sanctioning mods lately. Would be appreciated!

Fixed version I have running on the modded realm: https://i.imgur.com/Ar0RknH.png
beardoof 31 Oct, 2021 @ 5:33pm
Fatshark really should implement this officially :(
Triptych  [author] 1 Apr, 2021 @ 1:31pm
@brandwegg Unfortunately there are several reasons this could be breaking and I'm no longer actively developing it since VT2 modding is frozen. There will definitely be bugs now that new classes and other source changes are out.
brandwegg 31 Mar, 2021 @ 7:13am
I noticed a nil-reference (array index out of range) when opening my inventory. Not sure what caused it since the mod have worked fine for me until right now, but it should be a relatively easy patch. In worst case, just check for any errors during execution and show some placeholder icon if any occurs xD
MHM 14 Mar, 2021 @ 5:34am
@Triptych Yeah, I don't blame you at all for not considering it worth the work at this point. I'm not about to work on it myself without any evidence that the mod will be sanctioned, and frankly this is something that would work much better as part of the base game. A lot of the mods break after new updates unless the creator is willing to take on the burden of maintaining them. Ah well, hopefully someone from Fatshark sees this page and makes this a part of future games.
Triptych  [author] 13 Mar, 2021 @ 8:36pm
@MHM I've been asked about integration with Loadout Manager in the past so I did look into it. Loadout Manager saves your inactive builds to a config file that it creates. So it's technically possible for me to check for the existence of that file and parse it. But it's more work than I'm willing to do given the unofficial death of modding for VT2.

It's an unfortunate situation. In Fatshark's defense, manually sanctioning 3rd party mods is a crazy undertaking. It's pretty much unsustainable at any scale.
MHM 12 Mar, 2021 @ 4:32am
Really sad that this mod isn't sanctioned; sadder that this functionality (along with that of the Loadout Manager mod) doesn't ship with the game. If you play multiple characters/careers, and especially if you want to create multiple builds for the same career, it can be a nightmare to figure out what necklaces/trinkets/charms are safe to reroll.

Even this mod and the Loadout Manager together don't quite cover the whole issue. Gear can be "in use" (i.e. part of a build) even if it isn't actively assigned to a character. I'm imagining the solution as the ability to create and save builds for a career (maybe give it a name and description too), and then you could see what build(s) an item is used in.

Props to the mod creator for trying to do what Fatshark won't, apparently. Also let it be known that I love this game, Fatshark has created an absolute masterpiece, but this issue really annoys me.
Ars0n 21 Jan, 2021 @ 9:27pm
@Triptych

Yon don't have to sorry to people. You had made this mod without any reward. No one can't blame you. Have a good day 😀😁
Triptych  [author] 21 Jan, 2021 @ 6:39pm
@Ars0n Glad to hear you've been enjoying the mod. At the moment, it doesn't look like Fatshark will be sanctioning any more mods for Vermintide 2. If that changes, I may come back and release a patch, otherwise they're not really giving me any reason to. Sorry, I would've liked to see this go official as well.
Ars0n 21 Jan, 2021 @ 6:14pm
I used to like this mod. Because this mod lets me know which items aren't used and should be salvaged. Sadly, after Outcast Engineer dlc(patch 3.4), this mod has caused crash. Patch 3.4 ruined a lot of good things in Vermintide 2 :steamsad:
Hope this mod be reborn and sanctioned
Focused Rage 8 Nov, 2020 @ 2:03pm
Ok thanks
Triptych  [author] 8 Nov, 2020 @ 1:30pm
@Arthas So mods for Vermintide need to be approved by Fatshark to be used in official realm. If you look at the top right of this page you'll see this mod has Applied for sanctioning. Until it's approved it can only be used in unofficial realm.
Focused Rage 8 Nov, 2020 @ 1:16pm
Nah
Triptych  [author] 8 Nov, 2020 @ 1:12pm
@Arthas Are you playing in unofficial realm?
Focused Rage 8 Nov, 2020 @ 5:39am
not work for me
Epic Store Exclusive 1 Nov, 2020 @ 6:26pm
That sounds reasonable. Thanks
Triptych  [author] 31 Oct, 2020 @ 6:23pm
@Epic Store Exclusive I'll look into it as an update if the mod gets sanctioned. Otherwise it's hard to justify spending the time.
Epic Store Exclusive 30 Oct, 2020 @ 8:56am
Can you add a button to auto-unequip it? This would be useful for crafting
Brainfog 20 Oct, 2020 @ 8:23am
Ok thank you
Triptych  [author] 20 Oct, 2020 @ 6:44am
@Xera I applied for sanctioning in July. If it's approved you'll be able to use it in official realm, but I haven't heard anything from FS and they have no publicized schedule for approving mods.
Brainfog 19 Oct, 2020 @ 12:57pm
Doesn't works on normal realm ?

Triptych  [author] 13 Jul, 2020 @ 4:40pm
@Dae
If memory serves the loadout mod works by storing your saved configurations to a separate file. I would have to check for the existence of that file, parse its contents, and update my check. It would require some upfront work and I would be beholden to any changes that dev makes to their file structure in the future. So I don't plan on supporting it at the moment. You'll still be able to see what's equipped on your active loadout.
Dae 11 Jul, 2020 @ 7:53am
Does this work in with the loadout mod? Will it show you equipped charms etc on saved loadout slots cause if it does its an absolute must have.
cheese dealer 8 Jul, 2020 @ 10:03am
THIS. NEEDS. TO. BE. APPROVED.
Ars0n 4 Jul, 2020 @ 4:20pm
This is so nice idea and what I want to use. :sbpatr:
