Smithing from 1 to 100 in 30 seconds. Thanks!!!

I just installed this and it's awesome. No issues and it even works with Smelting Plus which I wasn't expecting but that's a....well...a plus xD

i have mixed mods from nexus and steam at a grand total of 225+ never had a problem with it my question is will this work if you load it on a existing game or do you have to start over
Mechanical Poetry 8 Jun, 2014 @ 2:20am
I should of looked at the date of your mods and the others. Someone already did this before you and I'm asking the wrong person.
Mechanical Poetry 5 Jun, 2014 @ 8:01am
Asking permission to use your idea and put all of the mods together like people have been asking? I was going to add a couple others of my own also.
JCpac 16 Apr, 2014 @ 6:46am
I tried doing what you told me to. But none of them worked. Then i remembered that i was trying this out on the Pocket Smithy tanning rack and smelter and that THAT might be the cause of the problem. So i went to a normal tanning rack and it worked. Apparently, your mod is fine. It just turns out it doesn't work for mod-imported smelters and tanning racks, even though they have the same mechanics/properties as normal smelters and tanning racks. But thank you for responding to my comment.

Btw, you think it could be possible to make this compatible with the Pocket Smithy mod? I kind of use that mod a lot. I don't mind using normal smelters and tanning racks, but it would be very nice if you could and i would be very thankful to you. :)

My mods modify the certain things in game: smelters/tanning racks, and cooking pots. So any other mod that messes with those could possible be the problem.

Item Recycling
24 Hour Cell Respawn
Triple XP Guardian Stones
Skill Master
Those might possibly conflict with mine, create a backup save and try disabling one at a time.
JCpac 15 Apr, 2014 @ 1:12pm
Here's a list of all the mods i have (by loading order):
Pocket Smithy
Camping Lite
Craftable Arrows
Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers
Pocket Magecraft
Scroll of Perfection
Psijic Teleport Spells
Detailed Mine Map Markers
Ore Extractor Spell
Transmute ALL the Ore
Item Recycling
(I think this might be causing the problem)
24 Hour Cell Respawn
Ebonvale
Lightweight Potions and Poisons
Lockpick Pro
Kill Moves - No Blur
Skyrim Spells and Powers by WarriorKeKe
Triple XP Guardian Stones
(Another mod i suspect might be the problem)
99% Pickpocket Chance Cap
Skill Master
Your Smelting/Tanning/Cooking=XP mods

Your mods are last because they were the last ones i installed. I tried switching the order between your XP mods and the Triple XP Guardian Stones mod, but it didn't work. Should i try switching the order with the Item Recycling mod? Can someone tell me if there's a way to make the Smelting/Tanning=XP mods work?
JCpac 15 Apr, 2014 @ 1:12pm
I have a problem with the Smelting=XP and Tanning=XP mods (still haven't tried the Cooking=XP mod). Whenever i try to use the smelter/tanning rack, i don't get any XP. I don't know if it's a problem in your mods or whatever, but i suspect it doesn't work due to some incompatibility with other mods i have installed.
Black Flamingo 30 Mar, 2014 @ 1:25pm
cool
Shamo Ying 26 Mar, 2014 @ 3:54pm
as with the tanning EXP mod: thank you for the opportunity Bethesda missed and thank you for putting the effort for balancing in!
Indigo Jack 23 Mar, 2014 @ 11:52am
Okay, so I really like this mod, but here's the problem. Steam has issued a 50 mod limit on Steam Workshop for unknown (and stupid) reasons. Is there any way you might try to combine all these "something equals exp" into one simple mod to save on space? I know that combined, a single mod would still be under the 200 MB limit and this would help us with this 50 mod limit crap. Doing the same thing with the smelting would help a lot (i.e., one mod for people who own all DLC, turning four seperate mods [which each takes up space in the mod limit] into just one mod).

Its times like this when i ask myself why was this not in the game/
Charlemagne 3 Feb, 2014 @ 6:55am
After playing for good while with all three XP mods... I always thought that this was needed in the game and was enthusiastic about it, but in fact it makes you zip through Smithing and Alchemy, creating an unbalanced character. I mean, so much leveling Smithing and Alchemy makes your character level go up and up and you face tougher monsters, but your combat or magic skills are trailing behind so you find it hard to cope. I think it might be good to nerf the XP that you get from these activities to a minimal. That way you enjoy the fact that they are helping you somewhat, for immersion, but not unbalancing your character. Something like "XP clutter".
Merrak 29 Jan, 2014 @ 5:18am
Great mod seems like it gives enough EXP to be useful but not so much it breaks the game.
tdx 27 Jan, 2014 @ 7:52pm
yeeees :D
Seewhyseeoh 27 Jan, 2014 @ 10:29am
Another good idea for a mod :) What XP do you get from this? I smelt a lot and if its high, I'd feel like I'm cheating!! :tank:
Mr Kantus 27 Jan, 2014 @ 9:28am
Really cool, don't see why bethesda didn't have this in the full game :P
MythicalPhoenix 26 Jan, 2014 @ 10:49am
I NEEEEEEEEEED THIS!
Wild_BladeRunner 26 Jan, 2014 @ 3:39am
know i see a reason to use the smelting thing
wovik253 25 Jan, 2014 @ 6:52am
Need to merge all three good mods.
Arthemax 25 Jan, 2014 @ 1:50am
Buttcheese: I don't think races should automatically know their race's armor from the start, but getting a skill discount for their race specialisation is not a bad idea.
Soulblighter 24 Jan, 2014 @ 6:45pm
this plus tanning mod is excellent... I always hated wasting so much time doing "chores" based on smithing, but not getting any exp for it. ~ the way bethesda made it SMITHING was broken and the whole (Smithys shopowners won't sharpen/improve or make items for you: just DO IT YOUR DAMN SELF) is a lame and glaring flaw of the game. Make a gazzilion daggers and wa-la! you now know how to make daedric armor? super lame. Smithing should have been imbedded into races: Orcs race can make orc armor by default / Elves - Elvish armor, etc. At least these mods reduce the grind (and carpel tunnel syndrome)
Johnny 24 Jan, 2014 @ 3:55pm
I like the idea of these but I feel like it gives too much XP and as a result breaks the game a bit, still a great idea though.
bushfulmight 23 Jan, 2014 @ 9:07pm
thanks i will defiatly be subscribing then looking forward to smelting and tanning my leather now :)
DeadeyeSkunk 23 Jan, 2014 @ 9:07pm
agree with Matt
lxMattAranxl 23 Jan, 2014 @ 7:26pm
This and your tanning mod should've been in the game when it was made. Nice mods, bro. b(^.')z
Erbos  [author] 23 Jan, 2014 @ 7:16pm
It depends the value of the item being made.
bushfulmight 23 Jan, 2014 @ 6:47pm
how much xp does it give per smelt and does it vary between the differen ores
Erbos  [author] 23 Jan, 2014 @ 12:55pm
Yes it is.
carloss53 23 Jan, 2014 @ 11:50am
is it compatiable with all the dlcs?
Lone_Wolf 23 Jan, 2014 @ 5:13am
thx for this good mod
Slayer Seraph 23 Jan, 2014 @ 2:11am
@Erbos your link works fine. I saw the mainmod+DLC for Smelting Revamped. I don't like the fact you need to spend perks in order to smelt your junk weapon/armors - but I do like the option of getting "3 times higher" improvement. Therefore I would personally make the smelting of weapons/armors possible without any perk, but perhaps keep the extra perks. Or make a perk free version. By the way: your smelting mods are not recognized by BOSS. I highly suggest you report them to boss in the nexus. So BOSS will auto-orginize them for us in the load order.
Erbos  [author] 22 Jan, 2014 @ 1:56pm
I dont know what all is in that mod but mine is a smaller file size which allows for faster downloading. I have for the most part only been using my personal mods that i make and i didnt even know about the other mod, plus its easier to narrow down if there is a problem with my mods the less i have installed.

Storm_at_Sea 22 Jan, 2014 @ 10:45am
I hope this doesn't double post-Steam's being weird right now. I'm going to stick with your smelting/tanning mods here at the workshop. I don't chop wood often enough for a mod to be useful to me, and some of the arrows (from a mod I believe) don't even require wood, and only a couple bows do, and I upgrade from them quickly. I will pass these mods on to my Skyrim contacts to check out :) Thanks again for them. :riften:

Let me know if there is any problems with the link.
Erbos  [author] 22 Jan, 2014 @ 10:31am
I moved the Smelting Revamped Legendary to nexus because there was certain things that I couldnt do with the steam work shop that would make the mod easier to deal with.
There are the 4 parts of the mod though but 1 is the "Core" being vanilla skyrim(noDLC) only items and the remaining 3 part each only deal with their specific DLC items that they add. On nexus for downloading it i have it set up that you download the "Core" and the DLC that a person has like if they have dragonborn, yet dont have dawnguard they have the option to pick what they need, BUT there is a "package deal" so to say that has all 4 parts in one download.
Slayer Seraph 22 Jan, 2014 @ 7:10am
hey @Erbos I saw that you posted you have a Legendry Version of Smelting Revamped. But when I clicked on the link you've provided it says you removed this mod...
I am very interested in this mod, but rather not install 4 mods for the same effect. Any chance you re-upload Smelting Revamped Legendry?
Storm_at_Sea 22 Jan, 2014 @ 2:44am
FOr my smithing, is usually the only reason I chop wood.
Storm_at_Sea 22 Jan, 2014 @ 2:43am
Well, can wood slighty help smithing, you need it for certain arrows and bows.... ? if you can't make it do what you want?
Reanimate 21 Jan, 2014 @ 7:58pm
I LITERALLY WAS JUST ABOUT TO POST THAT!
Erbos  [author] 21 Jan, 2014 @ 7:44pm
Haha, working on a mod that makes wood chopping give exp for two handed, no luck as of yet though.
Reanimate 21 Jan, 2014 @ 7:39pm
Thanks Erbos, I literally just left the game thinking "well I know I've got that smelting mod... someone has to have made a tanning one for all these wolf pelts!"
sirnutt1001 20 Jan, 2014 @ 3:52pm
words meaning agreeing, n stuff
Storm_at_Sea 20 Jan, 2014 @ 1:56pm
I always wondered why I didn't get xp for smelting or tanning, since it's part of the smithing process. Thanks for the mod :fsmg:
