amazing mod. ship looks a bit too modern though. populous (game) has some good ship inspiration design for this type of game. if I had the skill, I would import those ship models somehow

This kind of Mod really needs to be better known so other modders can use it as an example to work off of.

If someone could adapt this concept to something like a kayak or canoe, so a character could pick it up and carry it over land, it would likely become one of the great must have mods for Kenshi.

@Teirdalin, would you consider cooperation with the author of this mod to use the look of his/her boats and combine it with the mobility from your mod? ;-)

Have you thought about a swamp boat? Like a 2 person paddle boat for traversing the swamps, something like a small canoe.

nice concept.. I suppose if you're into mounts, riders and boats, then you could recreate the existing animals to carry people.. like a 'fake player' version of existing animals in the game.. now that will be a hit. ^^,

The teleporter uses actually another trick, it's a bed (or cage can't member), which has a huuuuuuge range to be used (usually you can only use a furniture from a short range, but using it actually teleports you ).

didn't think about automated turrrets but yup !
I was talking about beacons because of the already existing teleporter mod, which requires people at both ends to work, beacons would solve that.

Beacons can be rather cool for being able to check on an area

oh ! Clever :) . That also opens possibility regarding a balloon mod, or setting "beacons" that wouldn't walk for a teleporter mod .

It's a fake player with a specific movement settings and large pathing footprint and slow acceleration, so technically it can be given guns.

A wooden boat sounds like a fun idea. I could potentially give the boats a ranged attack.
Currently a bit more preoccupied with my Warhammer and Zero mods.

It's the way the ride chaser in my Zero mod does it. Just the player is hidden so the being held ragdoll isn't so visible and silly looking. lol

I think it's a great idea.
In short, creatures in the shape of ships are carrying humans and moving on the water.
When it develops, the beak can carry humans up like a horse.

They just hold one person, would be swell if it was possible to allow for multiple holding but I don't think it is.

For NPCS you may look at using a patch for Wandering Caravans/Mercs/etc.
Are the boats capable of carrying more than one character or no?

Cool proof of concept. Needs a bit of refinement though i think, right now it doesn't fit too well with Kenshi, as the boats are way too clean and modern looking :) but kudos on the idea

Yeah I was thinking of doing that. Just a little tedious, pretty sure I need to place the town ingame with all mods except the one I'm working on, and that just feels like too much effort for Boat mod. lol

hmm. i have an idea. why not create a town on the places you need them?
that way you can have a 100% chance of getting them to spawn in those places.

and it doesnt need to be a full town. just make it work like a nest but only spawn in specific places on the map.

there might be a tutorial on creating towns somewhere....
