Hi Turgon, thank you for asking! I created custom maps on snazzymaps.com wich either showed only roads, waterways or city labels and spent countless hours in Gimp to layer those screnshots over the greyscale image from terrain.party at exactly the right position and with the right amount of transparency, so that the lines don't become too high in the map generator. Since it is a really large map and the resolution had to be high enough to retain the detail, it were quite a few screenshots ;-)

I'm actually working on an extended version of this map at the moment. It will include the industry expanded mod for a more diverse gameplay. The industries will be placed in realistic locations, as well as 22 cities in the regular version and up to 76 cities with reduced population size in the final version.
