@PrinceAngelo I believe so but it's been a long time so I can't say for sure
PrinceAngelo 15. sep. kl. 19:18
Do Meitou textures apply to Snowii's Grade?
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 15. sep. kl. 17:19
@Ranger|.\\ because then you'd have 10x as many snowii grade weapons compared to meitou when instead I could just set the standard to meitou and the crit to some stupid value above level 200 to minimize crit chance
Ranger|.\\ 12. sep. kl. 11:52
-Enables Crafting of Meitou Grade Weaponry
-Critical Success results in Snowii's Grade
Why is the naming not reversed? level 95 Snowii grade and crit ->level 100 meitou

@Aphelion, thank you very much! Your mod is great and I would be glad to make it more accessible to my compatriots.
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 1. aug. kl. 17:10
@kmilobendzky Go ahead! I don't mind if you use it however you'd like.
kmilobendzky 1. aug. kl. 14:49
Hello! I have translated your mod into Russian. Since you are the author, I want to act according to my conscience, so I ask your permission to post it with the author's name. Do you mind?
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 30. apr. kl. 20:40
@LazyBonesJones I mean, depending on how "vanilla" you want the run to be, there are a couple good mods for adding a couple extra unique recruitable skeles. Would probably be enough to make a small base with automation? I've done the same concept in one of my runs, so I feel you that it takes a while to get things fully automated (although skele only does get kinda op once things get going... no food costs/instant repairs for fast training makes scaling very quick)
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 28. apr. kl. 14:56
@LazyBonesJones sorry I forgot to reply! I checked the other day and re-checked now just in case, but I could not seem to find a way to implement this. Weapons have a special tab in FCS where you can modify the level requirements for each grading (as well as implement new gradings etc.), however this does not seem to be the case for armor items :(
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. kl. 15:06
@LazyBonesJones I'll open up FCS really quick and see if that's possible to edit for ya. I think it might not be changeable with steam mods, but if it is it'd only take like 2 minutes max to make.
Goosicorn 15. mar. kl. 15:40
its best to just wipe all icons and allow the game to completely refresh said Icons, however, ive noticed myself (Mighty have just been the one off) but when I deleted my icons and reloaded my save (With import) Some of the icons seemed to have remained as before. So i suggest ultimately making a brand new save :) Sorry for the inconvenience, and i truly hope this helps!
TheyCallMeVincenzo 25. feb. kl. 18:27
Does anyone here know what icons I have to delete to delete all the edgewalker icons? I have a mod that retextures edgewalkers specifically and in the inventory they doesn't show up right.
Goosicorn 19. okt. 2024 kl. 11:42
any way to make a patch that puts the diamond edge meitou texture on this mods weapon grade?
LocosTacos 1. nov. 2023 kl. 3:10
tech isnt show up for research
jlrmarin 19. juni 2023 kl. 13:42
This mod downgrades all weaponry, you're basically getting natural edge 2 or 3 being categorized as meitou lol
Gooch Gremlin 15. maj 2023 kl. 13:49
Anyone know if it meitou quality was fixed?
SpareTheHorses 1. dec. 2022 kl. 15:35
I see the overflow issue was mostly addressed, but was the nerf to non-crafted meitou weapons ever fixed?
jlrmarin 9. okt. 2022 kl. 17:55
The predicted result on Meitou is showing red text, predicting an Edge 3, even though I have 92 blacksmith, if that helps.

Another curious thing: first four weapons she produced were all Meitou grade, at only like 85 smithing. After someone else used the station to make a rusted junk weapon for training, everything has been Edge 3 since.
jlrmarin 9. okt. 2022 kl. 16:48
I have 0% chance of critical success with a 92 level blacksmith. It could be a conflict (I'm running a Genesis playthrough, just a one off), but is this normal?
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2022 kl. 6:00
Hey there, sorry for slow replies since I've been moving this week (final day today!!). I'll try to remember to change that if it's preferred (maybe make separate grades for "meitou" and "meitou (crafted)". If there's no update by Tuesday, feel free to yell at me lol.
Thundercraft 31. juli 2022 kl. 0:31
Looking at the mod inside FCS more closely, I see that one of the changes it makes is to nerf the quality rating of Meitou weapons from 100 down to 95. I can only imagine that this was to give the Critical Success version of Meitou - the "Snowii" grade - more reason to exist with a quality value of 101. This is all done inside "Homemade" which defines crafted weapon quality (under Items > Weapons > Manufacturer).

Perhaps the author thought that making this change inside "Homemade" would only affect crafted Meitou and not all Meitou weapons in the game?
Alpacalypse 30. juli 2022 kl. 9:04
It only seems to be Meitou weapons that get the penalty. My edge 3 falling sun has an identical damage profile to its default stats, but my Meitou falling sun is lower than it should be. Neither are crafted.
Thundercraft 29. juli 2022 kl. 17:11
@Alpacalypse
Can you tell me if it is just the non-crafted Meitou that have reduced damage? Or, does it seem like all non-crafted weapons are suffering from the same crafted weapon penalty?
Alpacalypse 29. juli 2022 kl. 8:38
Specific examples: Meitou falling sun now does 2.53 cutting and 1.90 blunt instead of the default 2.64 and 2.00, short cleaver (hacker) does 1.47 and 1.33 instead of 1.54 and 1.40, foreign saber does 2.53 and 0.28 instead of 2.64 and 0.30, etc. This applies for every single meitou weapon I have, and none of them have ever been crafted.
Alpacalypse 29. juli 2022 kl. 8:35
The damage stats of my non-crafted meitou weapons (both modded and vanilla) dropped after installing this mod. Lower damage weapons like the topper only lost about .10, but some of the heavy weapons are down almost .30 - as if they were being affected by the crafted weapon penalty despite not being crafted.
Thundercraft 9. maj 2022 kl. 8:55
From my own attempts to fix this with the Forgotten Construction Set:

It may be possible to make a mod to point the Snowii grade to the vanilla texture for Meitou grade. However, it's impossible to use FCS to make a mod to get the game to point to a texture location inside a different mod. Every single time, the FCS throws an error went attempting to do that and it fails to work - something about the folder path location.

So, one can create a customized, local copy of a mod that fixes Snowii grade to use the same modded texture as Meitou grade by copying said texture inside said mod. But this means that the only way such a mod could be shared on the Workshop is if said custom texture was included in said mod. And that probably requires permission of the creator of said texture.
Frozium 9. maj 2022 kl. 8:30
Not an expert on the matter or anything, but I believe if you change the texture path of the Snowii grade so it points to the new texture, that would do it.
Thundercraft 19. mar. 2022 kl. 1:45
Like Not An Exo, I'm also curious if there's a way to change this mod so the Snowii grade shows the same texture as Meitou.
Exo Siveril 26. feb. 2022 kl. 12:54
So I have a mod that makes Meitou weaponry look different, and I want to have my own crafted meitou weaponry look like that, however, I always end up crafting the Snowii grade, which gets rid of that texture. I was wondering whether or not there is a way to change that, so the Snowii grade shares a texture with Meitou?
Frission 25. jan. 2022 kl. 8:26
Minor nitpick but I feel like the last tech should be called 'Cross Incarnate' since that was the name of the smith that created the Meitou grade. :3
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2022 kl. 6:17
It should work for all weapon mods as long as they make the weapons craftable like any other
Foehammer 10. jan. 2022 kl. 22:37
Will this work for modded weapons?
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2021 kl. 22:35
WCKID it isn't a glitch
WCKID 26. nov. 2021 kl. 14:33
What do I need to put above meitou to avoid the massive weight glitch
spacefiddle 18. nov. 2021 kl. 16:50
Ah I see, I didn't realize you'd already made something to "intercept" crit success. I like your solution heh
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 18. nov. 2021 kl. 16:33
Update on my modding on profile. TL;DR not updating or working with mods further on kenshi until the sequel releases
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 18. nov. 2021 kl. 16:33
@WCKID It's been fully developed since last year. The Snowii tier weapons are kind of an easter egg and are hilariously strong but also impossible to use with their massive weight. Needed to put something above meitou to avoid a glitch but just thought I'd let you know it's intentional.

@Torkkar No, but I could adapt patches for other mods if requested. Would need to be downloaded separately.

@spacefiddle I kinda like it as is, but I think I might use that someday if I make a big modpack when Kenshi 2 comes out.

@murlocgriswold and @Projectile Disfunction Make sure you have it near the bottom of your load order. This mod won't conflict with other weapon mods but some weapon mods will break this one, so it's preferred to load it low.
WCKID 17. nov. 2021 kl. 21:13
Quick question I was wondering is this working properly as intended as of now thank you
Torkkar 12. maj 2021 kl. 12:10
so does this work with crafted MOD weapons like Hammers?
spacefiddle 19. nov. 2020 kl. 10:47
Hey snowii, if you're still around.... another option (I just worked thru this in another custom weapon mod) is to make a copy of Meitou that's level 99 instead of 100... and leave "real" Meitou at 100.... which adds the dimension of most smiths making an "almost but nooooot quite" meitou copy but on crit success they perfectly duplicate Cross technique =)

for added bonus (and a lot of extra work) make the homeeade 99 meitou have a baseline 1% stat increase, and then they'd be exact, but then a crit success wouldn't mean anything. but at least it wouldn't overflow either.

I kinda like the "99% of a Meitou" idea for homemade since homemade Cross blades are OP anyway, needing that crit to get it right. Heck we already do that for Masterwork armor.
murlocgriswold 1. nov. 2020 kl. 23:49
why isnt it showing up to craft after researching it
GyroMadness247! 26. okt. 2020 kl. 16:38
Love love love this mod! Thank you for creating it!
Projectile Disfunction 3. sep. 2020 kl. 20:21
ive researched both of them but their is no option to craft it at my weapon smith
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 3. sep. 2020 kl. 15:06
It is craftable on weaponsmith 3. The tech is called edgewalkers
Projectile Disfunction 2. sep. 2020 kl. 18:23
do i have to make this at a special bench i researched both of them and my smithing skill is 96 but i have no option to make any edge type wepons
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 16. aug. 2020 kl. 6:50
Sent a fix out. they should be equal now. Thanks again for letting me know so quickly!
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 16. aug. 2020 kl. 6:42
@Slazzy that error is because of a change I made yesterday to fix the snowii's grade weight. Thanks for pointing it out. I will send out a patch in a few minutes for it
Slazzy 16. aug. 2020 kl. 2:25
Did a little looking into this as homemade Meitou weapons were not as powerful as ones found in the world. The scaling of weapons is linked to the manufacturer's model crafting level requirement.

Cross' Weaponsmith requirement for Meitou grade is 100, in this mod Homemade Meitou crafting requirement is 90(90 in FCS not 95 as listed). Therefore, the damage on Homemade Meitou weapons is 90% that of Cross.

I'm not sure if there's a way to change this behaviour so weapon stats aren't linked to level. What I've personally done is make Homemade Meitou level 100. Crafting achievable via critical success of Edge III.
CausticCradle 13. aug. 2020 kl. 12:17
Indeed. Even my Super Mutant squaddie who i gave mk3 power arms(modded prosthetics?) was having trouble swinging around a 160kg+ greatmace :steamfacepalm:. anyways, thanks a bunch!
Aphelion  [ophavsmand] 13. aug. 2020 kl. 12:12
Yeah the damage was a bit overtuned too though. There's no way to change one without changing the other, unfortunately (however the weight increase makes it basically unusable without the nerf)
