the dread necromancer is very fun but I got upset once I can't make my pawn learn the mass consume corpse spell (not sure if he also can't learn other scroll related to it) can you make it work or can I put that in setting to let him learn it?

can you change your RoM class once you have one? I like the idea of this being a class advancement for either a Necromancer or Death Knight

How did you make this? Im trying to make my own class but Ican't find the files for the class editor and people that tell me how to make one is telling me to backdate to 1.1 of the game with the original rimworld of magic.

I'll update them soon. That said; you should be safe using them as is. Most, not all, but most of my mods are just xml edits, which should be fine after the update.

This one in particular, should be fine with 1.4

@Tech-Priest That sounds like lichdom in most forms of fantasy. A necromancer resurrecting their self as a skeletal being. I think it would be a good idea for that to be a method of attaining lichdom though.

A Rimworld of Magic hasn't been updated yet; Torran's moving.

Once ARoM is updated, this should work fine, regardless of the tag.

Is there a necromancer that just adds the resurrection spell to the class? Tbh, seems like something they should be able to learn.

@eg7560251 No idea what might cause that, so I don't know how bad it is. It could be anywhere between a non issue and a game breaking bug.

Maybe I'll look at it later, but don't get your hopes up, my current game is with this mod active, and I've never seen that error.

One of my colonists died of malaria. Instead of burying him I turned him undead. He later fled the colony with some mechs because he was lonely.

I then turned two other dudes undead to make up for him.
The game crashed for me when I tried to send the undead in a caravans.

Encountered a Dread Necromancer in a raid, and the debug log went bananas, spamming these two messages over and over:

Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at Other/necroMageMark in any active mod or in base resources.

MatFrom with null sourceTex.

Not sure if this is a problem with this mod or Rimworld of Magic... Quickly looking through the xmls, I'm only seeing RoM custom classes use the classTexturePath tag, so I'm guessing it's likely the latter, and that all custom classes might face this issue.

@TheSevenSins Looks like Torann is working on an advanced class system, so something like that might be possible, but I'm not sure, I just saw a small note of it in the custom class mod that this is based on.

I feel like you should only be able to get this class by giving a necromencer scroll to a death night, and vice versa. the idea of combo class sounds REALLY cool. like a priest monk? a priest paladin? a elemental mage? base rimworld of magic might need to allow for multiple spell pages however

@Trogladonis, like a stripped down blademaster, with a boost to dodge? I'm just using Torran's stuff, so I'm not sure I can add a parry reposte mechanic.

A duelist would be neat; A class that has little in the way of massively offensive skills but can parry/riposte to deal decent damage or tank.

I wanna say something like a Kensei Monk. But I think monk abilities being limited to unarmed with no easy armed and unarmed(unless there is and im just dumb) makes it hard to do.

Torran did a great job of making the custom class system easy to use, and I'm kinda bored right now, so feel free to make suggestions; preferably, send a link to a dnd class or something, that isn't already in A Rimworld of Magic, and I'll see if I can put it together.
