Report a translation problem
"TEXT_UNIT_TITLE_GDI_MAMMOTH_TANK" Tanque Mamut (for example). This translates correctly and as I want the mammoth tank to my language. The problem is that there are two units that I cannot rename despite typing it correctly and they are MEDIUM_TANK and ROCKET_LAUNCHER. If there is any modder who knows what is the name that I have to put I would appreciate it. I have tried everything from MTANK, MED_TANK, MDTANK ... all possible combinations and it is not renamed.
If anyone knows please help.
Could you try the following if it still does not work for you;
- Disable the mod in the Mods Menu
- Unsubscribe from the mod in the in-game Workshop Mods menu
- Quit and restart the game
- Re-subscribe to the mod via the Workshop Mods menu
- Activate the mod and restart the game as prompted
- The updated mod should then work as intended
Thanks!
There is a file called MT_COMMANDBAR_COMMON.TGA, look for this in DATA\ART\TEXTURES\SRGB
Im locked out of my edits. well, all that is left is spam devs :> jk
This mod is a simple replacement of a localisation string table id. In the release game files, this is a binary file, so to replace all of the text entries for a localisation mod would be a very difficult task. Hopefully EA/Petroglyph will release a modding friendly file for this.
Ive been prying on subject for few days
fist Thx CChyper, I had a talk on reddit about whats the problem with localisation files, I know its a problem.
It would be awesome, if you could make that program to open these files to be honest, I have nearly ready localizations, that just need to be typed in.
I bet many people in the community would love if you could make either that program, or tutorial how to do it. Things like editiong unit miniatures would help a lot too.
I dont know detiles about how you achived this, I just hope I'll be able to make something similar one day.
Cheers
