@Lorne Malvo Thanks dude! I've been busy but I've been wanting to edit more than just the damage values, things like AI encounters, or behaviors if those tools are ever made available.

Wow this is a great mod! I was talking exactly about this. It is simple and adds tons of fun. Glad someone made this, i can't wait! Unfortunately SDK doesn't allow to edit AI, while damage is good way to balance the game. Reaction times can feel unfun, in certain situations, which are already hard. If AI sometimes one shots you, it doesn't feel fun!

Right, that was what I checked but I ended up with the typical 3 or 4 shots from normal mode. I'll try again later just to double check that I had nothing set wrong

@Found an eGF Weird. I'll look into it, but what I do to check if the mod is working properly is try to kill barnacles with the pistol. Should take about 7-8 shots to kill one with the mod enabled on any difficulty.

Ran this addon in a new game on normal difficulty and found 0 changes to the combat loop. Anything I could check?

@Zoopdoop Headshots do more damage, arm and leg shots do less, stomach shots do slightly less. only the chest damage is unchanged

If you deal more damage than you used to with headshots, the "stagger" variable probably increases at a faster rate resulting in more staggers, at least that is what i think

@Masamune27858 I didn't change the way they stagger or anything like that. In my experience it was exactly the same, and the zombies still take more headshots to kill.

so the combine almost feel easier in some ways. normal mode they dont stutter when headshot, or stagger, giving precious miliseconds to unload. im speaking on the combine. the zombies are definately harder, which is good. then i think it takes less headshots to kill than on normal too. just saying, i dont know....

@Meepminer When I hit the option to start a new game with add-ons, with this add-on enabled, it loads in just fine. My saves say "Addon enabled game". After a level transition, it makes an autosave, and this autosave instead just says the chapter name, with the text "Addon enabled game" nowhere to be seen on any saves made after that. So as long as you're playing on a save with that text you are playing the game with the add-on enabled. I recommend just installing it manually from the Nexus link at the top of the description.

@Титан Check out the lethal combat rebalance mod I linked. I'll look into adding more enemies, but I'm not feeling invested due not having a fix available to make the mod load past level transitions.

I heard Volvo needs to fix a thing where addons don't persist through level transitions. Do you know of an easy in-game way to check if the mod is working properly?

Uh, I'd like less enemies health, more ammo and much more enemies. That mod even increases amount of what I don't like in HL:A gameplay

ahh so i can change files back and just use the mod in game. also yea syringes do heal too much. This mod is great with the Wave based survival mod, pair them together and have a fun time.

@Masamune27858 Looks like it's a bug with the game. I can't figure out a workaround at the moment so just install it manually with the link in the description. @Worldcup Academy you might have to start a new game, it worked for a bit on an old save but like I said to this guy the game is bugged right now.

it doesnt work once it saves. autosave or regular save i believe cancel it. i started a new game and nothing worked by chapt 2, so i started a new game with addons on agian, and it did work, until it loaded or saved. my save files say the first is a addon game, then the rest say regular game

So this is a mod for the main HLA campaign, correct? If so, then the way to use it is: subcribe, enable the addon in-game, and then just run the add-on and it'll start the HLA campaign with the mods? In other words, we don't start a new regular HLA campaign, we have to start the enabled add-on?
