I was thinking maybe somewhere here since it's near a farm? https://map.projectzomboid.com/?desc=WestPointExpansion_20201130L0#897x209x82
Could be nice in the woods too. You can clear up some of the woods in the front for a fancy road https://map.projectzomboid.com/?desc=WestPointExpansion_20201130L0#677x229x37
Idc tho you can have the final say I just want them together <3
I assume you can't just copy/paste tho right? You would have to redo it from scratch?
Thanks for the suggestion. I was also thinking of adding a small military base or camp in the southern area of the map near the farm. there's a lot of unused space there
Thanks again to all of you who have downloaded, played and enjoyed this map :)

So far i'm aiming at:
-Fixing some minor visual issues
-Fixing the light poles preventing longer vehicles to enter the car workshop
-Fixing the missing ceiling in the car workshop
-Remove or rearrange at least one car jack to avoid vehicles getting stuck inside the workshop
-Redo the farm house and barn from scratch (unfortunately the source file of those buildings has been lost)
-Maybe add more buildings both near the workshop and the farm
-Extensively test out and polish everything since i'm working on a very old project and things might have broke a bit

Thank you! Unfortunately I'm kinda new to the PZ modding scene and i wasn't aware of that mod when I initially released my map. At this point I think it would be too much of a change to completely move and rearrange everything somewhere else.
Anyhow, I'd like to work on more maps that adds similar locations around the whole country but right now I'm too busy with my job to even think about it... maybe in the future :)
At the moment I'm really busy with my job and don't have much time to dedicate to side projects like this mod, but I really appreciate your feedback and I will test and eventually modify the map like you suggested as soon as I have more spare time.
Regarding the apartments complex, the building is inspired by soviet era Russian apartments (Khrushchyovka if i recall correctly) and it's really common for this kind of buildings to have separated wings with an independent entrance for each one.
As for the empty space near the car workshop, i'm looking forward to add a couple buildings there too, hopefully i'll be able to work on an update soon.
Based on my run, here are a few observations/suggestions:
1. Reduce the number of poles around the parking lot and maybe change them to be 2-level high like vanilla poles. Current config looks a little weird and prevents longer vehicles accessing easily garage doors (e.g. Filibuster's used-car mod trucks).
3. It feels strange that one wing of apartments (accessible via the main foyer side) is not connected to the other wings of the building internally. Suggest maybe converting apartment next to foyer area into connecting walkway.
4. Access road to the corn farm seems very tight with trees in the way.
I gather you plan to add more buildings adjacent to the apartments and car-shop. That empty grass 'square' area is begging for an interesting small strip of commercial buildings with a parking lot out back.
My second question is: If I make a building pack, would you like to check it out? I am making it Here [theindiestone.com] and wouldn't mind some ideas. I am starting small, but wouldn't mind doing more if you want to expand the area.
you can use WorldEd, TileZed and any 2D graphic application like Photoshop, the process is very easy. Check the official Indie Stone forums for tutorials and resources: LINK [theindiestone.com]
I will hold off for a bit then. Worth the wait i think. :) Thanks for the answer.
glad you like the map! i made some testing and it seems that unfortunately an update might cause some bugs like buildings not rendering properly.
i believe it's possible to merge an old save folder with a new one containing the updated map, but this will likely be too inconvenient.
anyways, i'll try to speed up the work and see if i can release a final version in the the next few days.
if you are playing on the IWBUMS 41.36 build of the game that's indeed not intended since you can open garage doors from the inside in this version of the game. however, if you are playing the stable build 40.43, your only option is to use a sledgehammer and destroy the doors to create an opening. there's no other way, beside maybe using mods, to open garage door in that version from what i know.
I have a bunch of ideas for new buildings but i also want to carefully though them out to be sure not to give too much of an advantage to the player.
I like the idea of needing to drive back and forth to the city and the nearby gas station, so i won't add one in the mod, at least for now. on the other hand, i was thinking of adding a storage building like you suggested, or a construction site.
I'm also considering the idea of adding a suburban russian style residential compound on the main road, which could also legitimate a corner store nearby!
Other ideas include a farm and more wood huts around the forest, but I still need to figure out whether they will crowd the map too much or not.
You're welcome! thank you for playing my map!
unfortunately both mods uses the same cell (41x23) so yes, they will conflict with each other,
but because west point strip center actually replace two cells of the game (40x23 and 41x23), you could in theory mess with the files and merge the two mods together in order to load the 40x23 cell from west point strip center and the 41x23 cell from my mod, but i'm not entirely sure if this is possibile.
