Did you touch any diplo relationships? Because they are bullshit in the core game.

to be honest, it's been so long since I messed with it, I can't recall. I wish I could be more helpful. The mod was a little unstable. The equipment list is top notch. Maybe i'll get back into it and redo it, with the hope it will be more stable

Hey for some reason playing as Iran in this mod, in 1949 or 2020, using the DEFAULT.UNIT, my CPU usage goes up to 100%, and my whole computer freezes
alip026 23. nov. 2020 kl. 11:19
Did i need to force recache every new sandbox ? or just 1 enough
FFDmh2223  [ophavsmand] 9. juni 2020 kl. 18:45
sorry pedroache20, not sure why yours is crashing. I know mine game has had some stability issues as well...maybe system related, maybe mod related.
pedroache20 8. juni 2020 kl. 21:22
Since I installed this modification of yours I have not been able to play it, because the game gets very slow and crashes. I really wish I could play this mod easily
velvetunderground 21. maj 2020 kl. 14:13
How do i use this download for my game?
Screenblast89 14. maj 2020 kl. 5:45
Same with partisans don't make build them instead just make new designs that are a similar function
Screenblast89 14. maj 2020 kl. 5:42
As for command units don't make that a design it isn't supposed to be a unit as such, make a custom unit with the command unit skin instead that can act as support
Screenblast89 14. maj 2020 kl. 5:41
You need to put your custom scenario into scenario/custom, then have a custom map with 2 files included the .Mapx .OOF
FFDmh2223  [ophavsmand] 13. maj 2020 kl. 13:30
Anyone have any suggestions on why the map editor doesnt save changes. I've tried to make some edits to the map for this game, wont let me do it.
vandenbergwillie4 13. maj 2020 kl. 5:19
Btw...if you make the command unit buildable, the AI spams 1000`s of it and hardly build any other units...may not be the best for gameplay
FFDmh2223  [ophavsmand] 13. maj 2020 kl. 3:57
thanks, I'll look into that. I did replace the navy seals unit...its working now..
vandenbergwillie4 12. maj 2020 kl. 23:21
The Command unit is in the default unit file. To build it you need to untick the no build button.
Also, the reason the SEALs don`t show up is because the unit you changed into the SEALs (elite Warriors or something) gets its name overwritten when you cach the game - to fix, copy the unit and give it a new unused unit ID so the game can include both.

To add Units to build as already researched, you need to add the unit ID to the known tech list in the corresponding CVP file before you cach.

I have been toying with the idea of doing this for the 1982 Falklands War scenario doing just this, but it is a lot of work. May do it when I get time. When done, the UK/Argentina get to fight with near authentic units and the rest of the big boys (US/Fra/USSR/China...) get to build units dated for 1982 or1983 right off the bat....makes for great 1980s Cold War gameplay.

Thanks for the updates and looking into some of those concerns. So here is my idea for the HQ units. There are a number of supply vehicles, each with different stats most namely in their ability to provide a numerical amount of fuel and supplies to units as they move forward in battle. To simulate a Brigade, a Division, or a Corps HQ I currently assign a number of transport units appropriate for the size of a formation they are supporting. (example 3 transports for a BDE, 9 for a DIV...). So the idea would be to rename or add supply units, name them a Brigade HQ, Div HQ...and bolster that unit with an enhanced amount of supply, maybe some defensive stats, make them expensive so it hurts if you lose them. Just a thought, and again mostly for role play flavor.
FFDmh2223  [ophavsmand] 12. maj 2020 kl. 9:56
I can add the Marine Recon unit for sure. not sure about the HQ. I believe I fixed the issue with missing US Navy SEALs, many other were also not showing up. I'll continue to double check.
Tnarg 12. maj 2020 kl. 7:46
Couple of suggested units if you are making changes and adding more:

US Marine Force Recon - mostly for flavor.

Headquarters units added as a Transport Unit? Simulate Command and Control with a boost to supply, maybe spotting range and some defensive stats. The higher the headquarter unit: Brigade, Division, Corps, Army, the more supply they have and defensive stats. Make them really expensive and take some time to build. Way, way back, years ago, the game had a Headquarters Like unit that was for a capture the flag scenario or something. Once it was destroyed that country capitulated. Don't know if that unit is still in the game hidden in the files somewhere. But again mostly flavor stuff for RP and setting up division, corps, and armies.

Thanks again, keep up the good work.

I'll be deleting 1.2, using it to advertise that 1.3 is available. I'll give it a couple more days and then take it down.
FFDmh2223  [ophavsmand] 12. maj 2020 kl. 6:54
Alip026. The cache file has been included, just install and overwrite the files in the game. Be sure to back up originals. So no you should be able to install the files in the proper location and play.
FFDmh2223  [ophavsmand] 12. maj 2020 kl. 6:52
Tnarg, I'm not sure why it changed the size of that file, the only thing I changed in GC2020 file is the default unit size. It isn't necessary to download or install that, I reduced recon unit size to 30, that is the only thing that it changes. The navy SEALs, I'm still wondering why they arent appearing, every once in awhile that happens. I'll look at it again today to see if there is an issue. As far as making units already available vs research...I'm still pretty knew at this..havent cracked that one yet. I'll do a little reading to see if I can figure out that one. If you know, let me know how let me know. I havent been able to figure that one out.
alip026 12. maj 2020 kl. 6:08
The 1.2 version can delete ?
alip026 12. maj 2020 kl. 5:35
if I wanted to start new game . should I tick force recache on game setting?
can I continue play my last saved game or need to start a new one?

Hello this is a great looking mod. A couple of questions. The GC2020.WMDATA from your mod is 5KB from the original GC2020.WMDATA file of which was quite a bit more. Just curious what that file is and what was reduced in your mod.

The special operations units like US Army Rangers, US Army Green Berets, US Army Special Forces moved to recon are great. Good flavor. However, I couldn't find the US Navy SEALS. I looked down a couple research trees and still could not find them. Might have missed something.

Also was it intentional to have to research them up to get to current tech level? Same with Russian Spetsnaz starting in 2020 at cold war level? Just curious, would love to see those at current levels ready to start, especially considering that most SR games start with global conflicts firing off within a couple of months.

Thanks for your work!
