TheFates 15. jan. 2021 kl. 15:41
@DevilishOblivion Yeah I've done the same thing as well. Not a huge hassle until the mod is eventually updated.
acm09d 14. jan. 2021 kl. 19:37
Hey thanks for the response bud. Understood and thanks again for the mod.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 14. jan. 2021 kl. 15:59
Nah, the reason that I opted not to add items to dino inventories to feed them in the first place was: stack mods suck. Stack mods for some reason are never done the same way, and are notorious for causing issues within other mods, and it's just not worth my time to make this mod work with all the various stack mods and each of their specific nuances. What I *may* do, is readd the base game trough aspect to this trough and figuring out how to let any dino eat from it. Then you can just put sulfur into it.

But, as I said below, it'll probably be ~6 months before I go on another ARK binge, so I probably won't be updating anything for awhile.
acm09d 14. jan. 2021 kl. 11:34
Any chance of adding support for feeding Phoenix (elder, alpha, apex) with this? Need to keep a healthy stock of sulfur in each for now. Otherwise, this thing is working perfectly. :)
DevilishOblivion 22. dec. 2020 kl. 16:23
@TheFates I tried replicating your issue today and it definitely seems that dinos aren't eating when they're on the outskirts of the range on most of the maps. I don't play official so I wasn't able to test there. I can say that I was able to get them to eat again by placing a trough just inside the boundaries of the range so that the ranges overlapped.
TheFates 22. dec. 2020 kl. 5:41
Understandable. I was only bringing it up and hoping that someone else might have had the same issue.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 21. dec. 2020 kl. 17:41
Well, once I get back into the game I'll have to test it and see. As with all of my mods, they will only receive updates when I'm actively playing the game, otherwise I just can't be bothered to wrestle the ARK: Dev Kit into submission.
TheFates 21. dec. 2020 kl. 17:20
I'm having a glitch where it seems like Dinos far away from the trough are not eating, even if the trough settings are set to be increased and appear visibly far when using the trough's "show range". I haven't tried replacing the trough yet but my current trough is definitely messed up somehow.
DevilishOblivion 20. dec. 2020 kl. 1:27
@Quambas. Rude. It's not that difficult to build.
Quambas 6. dec. 2020 kl. 23:02
whats the FUCKING SPAWN CODE
htdang12 3. dec. 2020 kl. 13:01
Works like a charm in SP out-of-the-box.

Many thanks for this!

Braix 12. nov. 2020 kl. 23:31
Octosharp, I have it running on Nitrado. However, I am not using expert mode and not adjusting any parameters on the mod.
Octosharp 22. okt. 2020 kl. 16:21
Has anyone been able to get this working on Nitrado? I don't have much experience with mods so I'm sure it's something I'm mucking up. I bring the server down and add the mod ID on the "Mods + Workshop" page in the Nitrado portal and it appears to load correctly. I can also confirm the presence of the .mod file in the /arkse/ShooterGame/Content/Mods directory.

The issue is that when I launch the server after adding the mod the server is inaccessible. It seems to start correctly according to the Nitrado portal but doesn't appear in the server listing and I'm unable even join it directly via the IP. Removing the mod and rebooting appears to resolve this immediately. It's worth noting I'm using Expert Settings on Nitrado which removes their frontend wrap around the config files and allows me to edit the GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini directly.
KonaManta 6. okt. 2020 kl. 9:27
Thanks. Love the mod!
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 6. okt. 2020 kl. 8:47
Yep!
KonaManta 4. okt. 2020 kl. 15:10
If i didn't want this to work on players, would I just change all player ini options to 0?
TigerJCMugen 27. aug. 2020 kl. 8:43
Makes sense. Was about to test it out. Thank you though! Cheers.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. 2020 kl. 5:20
No. Mainly because it's actually pretty server intensive to do all the stuff this mod does. I've minimized it the best I can, but it's still not gonna be great.
TigerJCMugen 27. aug. 2020 kl. 1:55
Love the concept of the mod. Out of curiosity, can the Frequency INI setting go below 60 seconds?
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 6:58
Some good news though, I have moved the mod to a buff. Meaning that there are some other goodies that can be added (like the ability for the buff to persist even after you leave the range of the trough)
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 6:56
Not gonna lie, the limitations of the ARK Devkit make this mod really hard to get working properly.

I'm still working on it, but the way that stasis works makes this a very not-so-simple fix.
BFDave 24. maj 2020 kl. 4:17
No problem at all. I really like the concept you have going here so if it takes time, then it takes time.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2020 kl. 19:25
It will probably be a couple of days until I can have a fix pushed, since it is going to be moving a lot of code around. The fix is going to be moving all of the functionality of the mod over to a buff instead of having it done inside of the structure. Which will actually allow for a lot of pretty cool functionality, like allowing the buff to persist for a duration after leaving the structure radius, disallow stacking of the structure so that there is no increase in effect if multiple are placed nearby, and will allow me to fix the issue with stasis.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2020 kl. 17:13
Interesting, yeah, then that is something I will definitely have to look into.
BFDave 23. maj 2020 kl. 8:42
Prevent Hibernation did not fix Single Player, so I tried on one of our servers. I lowered the food value of multiple dinos (by increasing the food stat) with no other source of food. I left render range for 4 mins, which at 25% per min, should have filled the food back up. All the creatures were still at the same food value when I came back to them. After standing there beside them for 4 mins, they were full on food. So even on Dedicated Servers, the trough does not seem to be feeding when not rendered, which is great if you play everyday, but it you take a week off, all your Dinos will starve when you log back in.
BFDave 22. maj 2020 kl. 16:14
Ah, that makes sense, did not think about that. Thanks.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2020 kl. 16:09
Try adding -preventhibernation to your command line for your single player session.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2020 kl. 16:06
I suspect this is due to singleplayer stasis of dinos.
BFDave 22. maj 2020 kl. 16:02
Not sure if this is even something you can fix, but the Trough does not feed animals when not rendered. This is not so bad for adults, but babies will die pretty quick it you leave for a bit. This is in Single Player, going to test on a server this weekend.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 17. maj 2020 kl. 3:04
Usually crashes like that happen due to a failed mod update on the user end.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 17. maj 2020 kl. 3:01
I've been running this mod since it released with no errors, I suggest manually deleting the mod files and then resubscribing.
Fullmetal381 17. maj 2020 kl. 0:16
Just played for 2 hours straight without a single issue after having a dozen or so fails. Then unsubscribing your mod and not a problem. Hope this helps people if they are having issues!
Fullmetal381 16. maj 2020 kl. 21:28
My game kept crashing with CaptureIndex failed, and I literally just unsubscribed your mod cuz it was the latest one ive installed, and after many failed boots before, it finally started up after unsubscribing and validating my files.
I think your mod has some bugs in it still, CaptureIndex failed, Line:666 error I believe was it everytime
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2020 kl. 10:29
Glad you like it man! Update pushed, all INI configurations should work now.
BFDave 16. maj 2020 kl. 10:11
It seems to be working now with the Flat Values, this is great. I have tried every Trough mod on the workshop, and they all have the same issue, they block resource spawns dependent on their feeding radius. This one does not, sure its a little cheaty not having to supply food for it, but totally worth it seeing as it does something that no other trough mod can do. You should really advertise that in your description if you have not already, its fantastic.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2020 kl. 8:09
No worries :D
BFDave 16. maj 2020 kl. 8:08
Thanks for looking into this.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2020 kl. 7:58
If you want to test while using the broken version of the mod, you can use the format PercentageTorpidityPlayer, once the mod is cooked it will use the settings you see above.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2020 kl. 7:57
Lmao, I'm cooking the mod. The way the INI strings were being crafted was weird. Got it fixed now, should be back to working when it's done. sorry about that.
Kronogenics  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2020 kl. 7:41
Just to let you know, often mods won't work correctly in single player/player hosted servers. I'll still fix the mod, but if you're testing for dedi, it's likely better to test on dedi. :)
