There is a theoretical limit for the car, but I am fairly certain that it handles weight very well. If you subscribe to it it will only appear in creative (press e on lift) or if you do a little cheating you can get it into survival

I had made a car that is pretty much exactly the same. But how in the world does it look so fast? I also tried another design by someone else that was crazy fast but its slow for me. What in the world?

A quick note, you'll have to upgrade the controller to lvl 2 as well for the 2 connections.

Also, having just built one in my survival, you'll probably want to get to lvl 4 pistons on the crankshaft. The lvl 3's just don't have enough speed to move the car very fast and hills kill it..
