Question, does the tier 10 loot only work if there are no boss loot bags? I've opened loot bags (from another mod) from such bosses and the weapons are always default tier.

I kinda wish there was a mod like this that made it so that the Erchius Mining mission starts at T6 and each mission afterwards increases by one tier(e.g. Ixodoom at T7, Nox at T8, etc...) to make it a little less harsh early on. Still a very nice mod though!

I was getting an error in the log related to the Big Ape Boss, I added ".patch" at the end of the "BigApe_BossGate.object" and it solved the issue. Anyway love the mod, thank you <3

I just installed NPC Shields & Bars. The shield really is not dropping a single pixel.

Without i"NPC Shields & Bars" NPCs that have shield will appear to not visually receive damage until the shield is depleted, but they do receive damage they have about 756 points of shield at tier 10 in vanilla.

They also are resistant to fire and poison damage while having a shield btw.

I had the "Chance for NPC having shields" set to 100%. And yes, I have Suppers follower healthbars. I had to make sure my crew and pets had enough health

I have changed rally mode for personal use, but haven't yet made it without replacing files.

As for the shields, do you also use "NPC Shields" with "Suppers follower healthbars" or not?

It looks like Borderlands Shield also affects. Usually I have the option for NPCs to spawn with shields but in this case it made some basically immune to damage for having Tier 10 shields. Some are killable, some aren't. I guess this is how BL-Shields work and can't be fixed.

Rally Mode brings their defense to 106.6 but disabling it brings it to 95. Is it possible to do something for Rally Mode as well?

I just disabled Rally Mode. No change, except for the monsters being easier to defeat.

In RPG growth, if you are using the "rally mode" then they become invincible.
It's because it gives them 40 extra armor, making them immune.

Or are you not using it?

Something is wrong. I was playing the Pagoda Library mission and the cultists are invincible. They never die and their health doesn't drop at all. I have RPG Growth and Borderlands Shields installed, so I don't know if those affect

Is this multiplayer friendly? Like... if someone joins my world, will they require the mod as well or not? I don't mind to join other people's worlds and fight normal bosses. I only want this for single player

thats a good idea. i dont mind if you do that or not its upto you but id be down for that :p theres a ton of cheese when using mods in starbound so i like to make it as hard as possible so i feel accomplished lol. thanks for the replies :)

The mod only raises the "world" itself to tier 10, not individual npcs/monsters, (to say the solution is not to change them individually).
So you may be interested in "Difficulty+" or "Difficulty Overhaul".
Another option is for me to force the npcs armor to 95%, and increase health multiplier to 5 (was 2) (Which seems to be fine in my case)

generally any npcs in the game (that are killable of course) for instance lets say the floran mission. you go in and encounter the first npcs and kill them like they mean nothing then you enter the next bit and the green poison spitting mobs take a century to kill and do massive damage to you. its the same pattern throughout the game. i respect that npcs scale differently as you say but i think somewhere they are not being accounted for and are still the appropriate tier for the original mission level and are not being scaled up like the normal mobs.

is there any reason why npcs are super easy to kill compared to the monsters with this mod? its almost like they are not being taken into consideration when increasing the level to 10

The tier 6 only changes missions/bosses that are lower than 6.
This one changes all missions/bosses and more mods to tier 10, also changes a bit of the armor calculation to not give immunity.

It's not meant for a new character, just for more challenge fighting bosses and missions, that now give tier 10 loot.

would it be possible to remove the verdant ruins mission from the scaling you can easily find that mission on your starter planet and just insta get t10 stuff if you're careful and it kinda ruins it lol

You can reduce the amount of armor used for the energy shields.
That may also mean that the mod's bosses are not tier 10 or they are not scaling well (Pandora's Box Titans bosses are weak even at tier 10)

I used this with your Borderlands Shields mod and when I got through the Erchius mission the Tier 10 shields carried me past really powerful modded bosses and mission, although I didn't finish that character's boss progression.
