Would it be possible to get this with JUST the dice rolling script and without the automatic score cards?

Why do the dice roll so many times? Is there a way to have them stop after the first roll?

@Xabdrol I'm happy to take suggestions, I would like to use custom assets though.

I'm not a fan of the new design to be honest.

@Korvin

No problem at all :) Awesome to see the effort you have put into this so far and looking forward to any new additions/options that gives any player the full experience for how limited Yahtzee can be sometimes.

@NakedJerk

Thanks for the kind words and the extra info on Joker rules!
The version of joker rules that I implemented is "Free choice Joker rule" as described on the Wikipedia and not the "Forced Joker rule" which is what you describe. I'm working on getting some options added to the table, this is a great candidate for that.

Thanks again for testing!

1. If you do not have the number that associates with your second Yahtzee filled out in the top section, you have to fill in that section. So for example you roll 5's for your second Yahtzee and do not have your 5's filled in above it would force you to fill that section in.

2. If you do have that section filled in, then you can use these to fill in either the 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, full house, small straight or large straight on top of the 100 bonus.

3. If you do not have these open, then you have to take a 0 in any open top section but you would still get the 100 bonus.

4. If you get a Yahtzee and already put a 0 in the Yahtzee slot. You get no bonus and acts like any other normal roll.

Any questions on this or any other testing you want from me. Let me know, I am enjoying this mod and glad to see the hard work you have put into it :)

So it looks like you were able to get the game to end after 13 rolls no matter what happens which is great. But it looks like the joker mode is still not working. I tried many games and when getting multiple Yahtzee's is still only gives me the option to either add 100 points to another Yahtzee or fill in a spot that that numbers work for.

For the joker mode it should play out like this. If you get a second Yahtzee and you already have a Yahtzee score it would automatically add the extra 100 points to the Yahtzee slot and then you have the option to do the following items I have in my second post.

Actually it ended up being a little simpler to implement then I thought, that issue has been fixed.

You'll be pleased to know that I've added support for Joker mode! If you could give it another pass and make sure it works properly that'd be a great help.

You have a good point about the case where multiple yahtzees leads to a confusing game state, I'll see if I can get that resolved this weekend.

Thanks again for the thorough testing and feedback!

@kovin

Yep, looks like the 1's are counting now :) Thanks for the quick response and fix.

As for the extra Yahtzee's, I think we all had some kind of loved one that destroyed us with multiple of them :) I thank you for adding it in and it was tested and I see you can now select multiple for the extra 100 points. Though Yahtzee there are only 13 roles no matter what happens. With this setup you can get more rolls. Again I think if you get the chance to look at the rules for the joker fill in and extra Yahtzees this would come up, but right now it plays out pretty good.

@NakedJerk

Thank you for testing this out! I've pushed an update that addresses both things you noticed

1. Facepalm! Good catch, we played several times without noticing :D
2. I've added the ability to score an additional 100 points for every additional yahtzee. I'm not familiar with the 'joker fill in' option you mentioned, frankly I didn't consult any official rules or anything which is probably not great so I'll do some research and maybe add that in this weekend

For the record, I actually intentionally picked a scorecard that didn't include the yahtzee bonus due to long lasting childhood trauma from one of my parents beating me so badly with multiple yahtzees. That said, ask and ye shall receive!

So I tried out your Yahtzee mod. It played pretty good besides a few issues.

1. It looks like the scorecard is not counting the 1's field. I tried a few different games just to make sure something didn't happen as a one off and 1's never get counted for the total top or bottom score.

2. It looks like the score card does not give bonuses for multiple Yahtzees. I got 2 in one game and did not give me the normal 100 point bonus. It also did not give me the option to fill in large straight or full house with the second Yatzhee as a joker fill in, as per normal rules with multiple Yahtzees. You may want to add in that an script in for it to check if the Yahtzee field has been filled in with an amount and if so give the 100 point bonus and allow to be played in place of the sm and lrg straights and full house as well as the normal 3 or 4 of a kind and above number field.
