Is there a reason this gives your ruler the governor version of chosen one instead of the ruler version?

Yes, but statistically, the shroud almost always chooses another leader.

Yes, the shroud can still offer their own chosen one with this mod. Even though this mod gives your leader the chosen one trait, the mod is not coded to give the country flag that would prevent the shroud from offering their own candidate for chosen one.

I also wasn't aware of that origin that was posted. It seems like there are a ton of immortal ruler mods on here, I guess I am just one of many.

Oh it is cool, I just wanted to share in case you didn't know. There are a ton of unused assets hidden in the code and folders of the game, I wouldn't be shocked if they ended up using a bunch of that stuff for paid DLC down the road.

Every copy of the game already has this icon. It is part of an entire folder full of unused assets for origins that Paradox never finished, they are located in this folder: ~/Stellaris/gfx/interface/icons/origins/unused
