Seems to be more prevalent when the TTS "split" or "group" functions are used.
@Prof Plum - I played around some more and managed to reproduce the issue by quickly spamming the reset button while cards were flying towards the deck. Apparently, if you hit Reset and, while cards are flying towards the deck, hit Shuffle, Reset, Shuffle, the cards that were flying towards the deck get duplicated.
Since there's no shortcut for Shuffle, this is usually impossible to do without scripting. It's a native TTS bug, so I can't fix it directly, but I did apply a workaround by forcing a delay of 1 second between button clicks.
In other words, if you click Play / Deal / Reset, you won't be able to click any one of the three buttons for one second. This (hopefully) gives everything time to finish animating. The delay shouldn't have an effect in regular play, as you're generally not performing actions too quickly.
Now you've gone and done it. Got involved in fixing native TTS bugs.. A dangerous precedent lol
- It wasn't there when we started and didn't use a saved file
- It took a while for the issue to occur. I think it was something like the 5th hand played or sometime after that
- There were 4 of us playing
- We just loaded the mod directly from the selection screen, didn't add it to an existing game
-The "Poker Hand Rankings" were still there
Hope this helps, if I run into it again I'll use the search option
- Does this happen when loading the mod from scratch or are you using a saved game?
- Does is happen right after resetting it the first time or do you need to play for a while in order to encounter the bug?
- How many players are in the game?
- Did you load the mod directly or did you use additive load in order to combine multiple mods?
- When you encounter this bug, are the "Poker Hand Rankings" cards still at their places around the table?
If you encounter the issue again, could you right click the deck of cards, select Search and see if you can spot anything unusual (such as duplicate cards)?
I messed around with the hand placement and it does indeed seem to be a bug with how TTS handles arbitrary angles for hands. I managed to bypass the problem by rotating the hands to multiples of 15 degrees (so for instance if a hand was rotated at 48 degrees, setting it to a rotation of exactly 45 fixes the problem).
I added a new screenshot showing the old positions of cards for corner players, compared to the new. Thanks again!
question: possibly unrelated to mod. I love this poker table, but the corner hands are all wonky and don't have the cards aligned correctly (pictured in your lead image). Is this a TTS bug and/or is there a solution? it seems tied directly to this specific table
