I've only had this mod on with "Duelist Character Backport ChiPerHa", but the runs I made it to eden I was experiencing this bug playing as Vanilla characters.

Hello, I realized after multiple runs in hm13/14 when you enter eden, some times there is a stage with no enemies spawning at all and you have to abandon the run.

Currently the error does nothing negative. At some point I'll probably look into fixing it, but as far as I remember and am aware it's left over from a feature that was attempted and then partially removed. No need for worrying, the library will still work as intended!

Hello, a big thanks for creating this utility. I also have the error "Could not find handler CustomBosses.DataHandler:BossHandler for files: Bosses.xml" as the poster below, but I don't know to what extent it'll affect the game.

Update: Yup, it works on steam deck. Huzzah!

I can confirm that it's now working. I still took a few minutes to load and I had to load the mods in a specific order, but it didn't crash on my PC anymore. Here's hoping it works on steam deck too.

I just figured out the issue - there was an issue that made mods take longer to load with MPL that I fixed and THOUGHT I uploaded, but somehow I didn't. I'm uploading the fixed version now, sorry for the issues!

I tried waiting over a half-hour for the Mega Man mod to load, so I dunno if I'm doing something wrong.

I don't believe there are any currently known infinite loops on mod load, so it's just taking a really really really long time to load. The loading is definitely unoptimized, either for OSFE or MoreLuaPower (admittedly I'm not sure which side the issues stem from), but in general the solution is just to wait longer.

I guess a better question is, how do I tell the difference between an actual crash and just taking a really really long time to load?

That error doesn't stop the mod from loading - are you saying you just noticed that error or that you can't play using it?

Happened to me too, on both PC and Steam Deck. Though my error message was about custom boss XMLs not being found or something.

That's really odd. Do you have any other quirks with your setup? On my end this still works, and I can't see what the cause of the problem would be.

Recently tried to install this mod to play with Megaman Doublesouls again, but am suddenly getting an error message stating "Failed to get input data". It used to work just fine but no longer loads. I tried unsubscribing and resubscribing as well as selecting the option to update the mod, but it hasn't helped. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This is just how the mod works, because dblsouls has a lot of large image files, and One Step From Eden is particularly slow at loading them for some reason

I have found a half solution.
for the mods to work you must have both "MoreLuaPower" and "MegamanEXE(+dblsouls)"

when you start the game install "MoreLuaPower" first, then install "MegamanEXE(+dblsouls)", the game seems to crash but it doesn't,
wait a few seconds without doing anything and then the mods will be loaded automatically.

"crashes" as in it seems to freeze? Make sure it's actually freezing and not just acting like it - the doublesouls megaman mod is particularly bad for taking a while to install, so if that's what's going on just wait for it to finish (takes a few minutes)

This mod crashes my game every time i click install, first time using this mod, any suggestions?

This doesn't seem to work anymore, at least for me. It just gives a "NO MODS INSTALLED" and "RELOADING ITEM ####" with a random number. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, but to no avail. I'll try reinstalling the whole game and see if that changes anything, but I'm doubtful.

Not sure - afaik the game hasn't made an update, but with what I do I'm also kinda not surprised.

Unfortunately I'm caught up in IRL stuff rn, but I'll definitely fix it up when I can if it's my side.

The version that's up right now just lets lua access more functions, but in a day or two I'm going to be uploading an update that will add all sorts of features, like custom sounds, status effects, and particles. I'll also be making the description a tutorial then, but if you want to take a look now I believe I left the source in the download (if I didn't, I'll add it next update)
