The wards really need the iconic ward-eye somewhere. Perhaps hanging under the lantern, or sitting atop the pole? Not sure, but it's honestly instrumental to the item.

Great idea!

The way the lantern part comes in and goes out when spawning and expiring respectively looks kinda weird, though.

When spawning, is it supposed to be like it's riding down an invisible line?

The despawn animation's kinda funny, actually...WHOOSH!

Mathematical Breakfast was right , when night time the latern light up brightly just like the real lantern and day time it is dim not light up. Example I place the ward during day time then suddenly night time then the ward light up brightly , that will be cool.
