i found some textures on celestia i could try editing out the water in gimp.

Was wondering if you kept the moon in its current position or moved it closer to earth, since the moon would've been much closer to earth 150 million years ago.

@animationfan13 Well, I don't know if it will work, because it look like more for a diffuse map. Like I said before, I don't made the map, so I don't know how Kexitt get the heightmap of this time.

another thing, i wanna try and incorporate this map for earth for one of my addons, for it, basically should i grayscale it and edit out the water part and make a color like what u did and figure out on making the biomes for it in a nutshell?

I don't made the texture. But, the only thing I do was I selected the area where was the water, and only replaced by a color look like submarine.

@animationfan13 Like I said on the description, it is Kexitt made the map. I only convert for Space Engine.
Otherwise, if you mean how I replace the vanilla Earth, in the beginning of your script, you should use 'Remove "Earth-Moon" {ParentBody "Sun"}', and do the same for Earth and Moon.

it is sadly broken due to the water, so the water appears white and the land appears blue

Wonderful mod! I think the water reflection effect is incorrectly applied to the land instead of the water.

So I made a version of the system Gargantua from the movie Interstellar if you look on my mod page on the forum [forum.spaceengine.org]. Is old but I think is still work.
