Due to some stupidity on my part I ended up duplicating the old mod version and newer one to 1.4. It shouldn't matter because it's all backwards compatible but I've unlisted this one and I suggest you sub to the other one for future updates

btw I attempted to figure out how to add autofocus in the text field, but since there's no code reference or anything (apparently people are forced to decompile the dlls) and I can't think of any instance of autofocus in vanilla (you'd think it'd do it when you rename a pawn for example) I'm not even sure the functionality exists. If you know of a mod that does this let me know and I can probably use that as reference to add it into rimsearch.

@Lin sadly I am not the original author (credits in desc) I just recompiled it to update it when it stopped working in 1.1. I'm not familiar with coding for Rimworld so I can't do anything about it at the moment though I am sure it's possible. If I get around to it and figure out how I'll definitely add the autofocus it annoys me to.

well i dont use it since that, but i remember i had event happen without the gui open, it's as soon as an event appeared while it was open.

@Alpha_43 I don't have that issue, but I'm still on 1.1. Are you sure it's not another mod? Without an error log I can't do much since I just recompile this stuff I'm not developing it and I'm not familiar with Rimworld's code library.

game freeze if an event appears while in the search window, of which the only solution is to force close the game

You're using targetVersion in About.xml, which is obsolete. Use supportedVersions instead.
