1. The distance vast hill filled wasteland was exciting at first but quickly became tiring to traverse. The hill regions are just annoying to cross especially with infantry who can only move one tile at a time on this terrain.
2. The distance and scarcity between resources makes me have to go considerable distances to place worthwhile cities.
3. This issue is a big one and fairly easy fix though. I don't know if it was done on purpose or not but when you place strategic resources like iron, oil, or aluminum you also have to go to the edit plot in the map editor and decide how much of that resource is there. If you don't then only one of that resource is in each deposit.
In order to disable the terrain recolors in the same game session, simply disable this mod, then begin an unmodded game. The next modded game you begin will have restored the default terrain colors.
