It uses the same abilities as other grenades.

can this be worked with smoke grenade? I cant see to find an AbilityName for throwing and launching smoke

Хай! Мод потрясный конечно, такой, из разрада - REALISTIC). Но такой вопрос\предложение есть, может добавить рейнджа при броске\запуске гранаты с хай граунда? Ведь в реальной жизни оно именно - ТАК), когда выше стоишь и кидаешь предмет он летит - дальше, потому что приземляется - дольше, вообще мне лично довольно странно что нет такого мода, хотя бы в самом простеньком исполнении, у тебя то здесь целая физическая система..

I tested, it took about 5-6 throws, but I did get a 3 damage frag with Precision Explosives enabled.

Hmm, I'll check it out. Most likely you were just unlucky, because this mod doesn't fundamentally change how grenade damage works, or anything else along those lines, it just makes the grenaade "land" on a random tile. Note that the tile the grenade lands on visually can totally be different from the actual epicenter of the explosion.

Yes, normally it is 3-4 damage for the tile the grenade lands in and 2 on all of the surrounding tiles.

@Iridar - great work here, love the mod. Are you certain that grenades can still direct hit using Precision Explosives? I am about 10 missions into a campaign and have yet to a grenade do more than 2 damage, even those that look like they hit the tile I was aiming for with the enemy.

Yes, I tested and it works. But it seemed out of scope of the Grenade Scatter mod and I was lazy to make another mod. It works for Viper's poison spit too.

Have you considered giving scatter to the Andromedon's Acid Blob as well? It's pretty clearly a launched grenade-like, and it still has pinpoint accuracy.

Bruh, this scatter is crazy. Had like 8/10 grenades thrown at enemies less then 10 tiles away whiff completely.

@Iridar I know you did not make this to support it but in LWOTC I can't see the percentage chance to hit or the range in which the grenade can scatter in. Although the hit and miss seems to work properly. Anything I can do to change that?

Every grenade, every flashbang is now a moment of tension. I did my usual Blacksite habit of scaling the roof to Grenade-banish a turret - only to remember during the throw that the grenade could now overshoot OFF the roof, leaving me in the open.

This mod doesn't contain any "blocks of code", only configuration.
Open XComScatter.ini and delete everything under = LAUNCH GRENADE = block.

I mean, I got that much -- I looked inside and couldn't SEEM to find a bool that could toggle grenade spread for launchers -- I'm almost under the impression I just erase the any block of code regarding launchers and call it a day?

If it's in there it's not fully obvious because I'm not sure what phrasing exactly I'm looking for. It does say that launchers are MORE accurate than grenades, which I guess suffices with your DRLs with no spread modified in.

Some LWoTC grenade setting suggestion; based upon Iridar's Grenade Rebalance but suited for LWoTC. 1-Exclude scatter for Fire and Acid Variants. (Too small radius, too powerful to increase) 2-Increase frag and plasma (alien grenade) radius by one (hand held grenades are considerably inaccurate) 3- Remove radius increase from Grenade Launchers. Maybe you can keep one radius only if you use Beam Tier Launcher Mod. (Grenade Launchers have own merits with Grenade Scatter Mod. Done. Enough with ??? profit jokes.

And if I want to make a particular grenade launcher (like the Blaster Launcher ) suffer no scatter whatsoever, I should add +SCATTER_ABILITY = (AbilityN2ame = "IRI_NoScatter_Passive_GL", AffectAbilities[0] = "LaunchGrenade", AimAdjust = 1000, SearchInventory = true) to XCOMScatter.ini, and then give it to the appropiate weapon via WSR, right?

Dude, I've wanted a mod that adds scatter to grenades since the release of Xcom 2 back in 2016

in order to grant scatter-reducing abilities to Advanced and Beam Grenade Launchers.

Regarding the disorient thing - You could maybe mix a "disadvantage to hit" throw (roll twice and any of both rolls missing leads to a Miss-scatter) with a halved throw range.

Just thinking aloud though - I agree with you.

I tested, it works. The grenade always visually lands in the same tile, but it explodes and deals damage in a scatter location correctly, so just a minor cosmetic issue.
