why not add butten for the race so you ckick on it it swap the race to next race or ckick on the race name thin and it show a list of race you can pick as well use your mose go up and down the list to find what race you want to play as

If you're doing something similar to something in the game, it's quite easy, just JSON modification. For more custom stuff, it can get quite complex.

how hard is it to mod starbound? i'm actually curious.

I'd love to make an infinitely extendable race extender, but unfortunately I neither have the knowledge nor the investment in Starbound modding required to figure out how to add pages to the race selector.

what if this mod was reworked so you can instead select a race in smaller pages grouped in 6s so you can have an infinite amount but swap the page so they don't clutter the UI?

it'd be funny if someone added a race thats just the "DEFAULT" model in gmod for when theres no gamemode set, and its just that grey slate playermodel, without animations, and it just has NO stats for anything, and shyte.

because I'd try and just be the most generic, blank, character I could be, if I had people to multiplayer with, like, imagine just seeing a grey faceless, emoteless, animationless statue that looks like a pastel grey sliding by, its sword just pointing in a direction, not even animated.
