While obviously not the original modder, I've spent twenty minutes searching XML files to patch it myself, and as near as I can tell, there is no XML mechanism for making a new object fall under Travel Supplies.
Bedrolls have a unique bedCaravansCanUse tag, and there's neither a new sorting tag on food nor a new category they're added to. It's some C# wizardry, apparently. Might or might not be within their wheelhouse.
Trying to do no drugs/alcohol run and man do they hate going anywhere.
Not hardcore complaining, as I'll just edit the xml myself for my own gameplay. Just noting the imbalance.

However, i do think it needs a reskin to match with the game aesthetics a little better, hit me up if you are up to a collab
Changes:
Chemfuel Stove now requires you to know how to produce Chemfuel (Biofuel Refining).
Caravan Lantern now requires you to know how to produce Chemfuel (Biofuel Refining).
Chemfuel Generator now requires Biofuel Refining, Electricity, and Machining research.
Caravan Refinery work time balanced with the outdoor work speed penalty.
Fixed: Caravan Refinery chair on the blueprint for the caravan refinery appears backwards.
This may require you to reinstall your refinery to take effect of the new positioning.
