If it's not too much to ask, could you please change these two little things? I ask because your work is very well done
The mod replacing all emblems does not feature the lettering, which I personally believe looks at lot more historical and immersive. Would you consider releasing a version without the lettering?
Thank you!
yes
I've reuploaded the mod. Is the German emblem visible now?
most mod´s not working...i have 26 of them.........and 4 are working!
Yeah it is silly as f.ck. Thanks for the good work!!!
You will need at least three separate files: interface file to set up .gfx files, agency logo .gfx file and edit the file called "00_intelligence_agencies.txt" in common\intelligence_agencies
You can look it up in the files. Here's a mod that does that correctly and is simple to learn:

What do you mean? I edit all of the gfx files with paint.net
All of the graphical effects (like shading etc.) that emblems have were made either by the "color match" option or "clouds"/"fotography" set of options from that program.

It adds all of the agency emblems I was able to find.
I've even managed to force the AI to comply so if Germany is communist AI will choose Stasi emblem and if it's non-aligned it will choose Abteilung III b emblem etc. Thus I'm going to get rid of all the generic emblems.
The downside is - it's not going to be ironman compatible so I will release it as a separate mod.

Vanilla was completely not historical. This is semi-historical. I didn't find any form of intelligence agency emblem other than Wermacht ones. At least not the ones from WWII era. Many agencies didn't have any logo or just used a country CoA as their working emblem.
@Argos900
No. They were to lazy to make four different versions for every major nation. They could do it (like in case of Spain which has one nationalist and one republican emblem).
I promise that I will add other emblems if I figure out how to add them in the files.
like, the Nazi Flag right, that actually -had- a swastika on it, so adding it back would actually count as uncensoring... but this symbol isn't real????? you're just adding a swastika to a symbol that doesn't need it?
I don't blame Paradox for censorship. They just didn't want to deal with the backlash in the media which is reasonable for the company that needs to protect it's profits.
Intelligent people will just deal with it via mods. Paradox have never banned mods like these from Steam, so I'm thankful for that.
It's much worse on YouTube where history channels often get outright demonetised or banned for uploading any form of WWII content - even historical or just about the war in general. Because of this history channels became really niche and dependent on patrons. Compared to this Paradox Interactive are saints.
I blame Paradox only for the bugs in their game. A lots of bugs growing exponentially with every DLC they produce and that's not okay.
The governments of Soviet Russia, China, Cambodia, North Korea and others are responsible for even more death than the Nazi's yet using their symbol is fine? No... history is supposed to be un-biased and in my mind that includes games, movies, shows, books and so forth which touch on the subject.
Hence I thank the modder for their contribution.
