Ireland is a part of Great Britain empire. Britain has annexed its old colonies and countries that were part of it in past.

Well thats true about English language. South England was also owned by Roman empire, thats why its very conected with Germanic culture.

No, actually, the English language came from the Anglo-Saxons (a Germanic tribe), that originated North of Great Britain in Norway area. They then migrated, along with many other tribes to the South, and they happened to end up in Great Britain, but by then the English language was already created so technically, the English language came from Norway area.
