As for workshop version you either re-launch it from in-game workshop menu or use one of these methods.

What do you mean? If you are talking about the ModDB release you just need to drag-and-drop the Eternal Damnation folder into POSTAL 2's main directory (next to Paradise Lost folder and asset folders like Animations, Textures etc.) then you go to the ED's System folder and use EternalDamation.exe to play, it's pretty straightfoward.

It's not normal, might be a glitch caused by patch 5100 because I never ran into such issue.

I'm able to play and save just fine but if i close the game and relaunch it, I'm unable to locate the previous saves again, only able to start from the very start again. I can even see the save files in my regular postal 2 launcher, but when loading them up, it just takes me into the regular postal 2 game and not the mod.

There's a vent you need to go through in a reastaurant, if you still can't find it just watch a walkthrough on the net, there's plenty of them.

Change game version to English release if it's set to anything else, also I recommend downloading the mod from ModDB instead, Workshop system often can't handle big modifications like this one property.

A bit less of them than in original version but still there are few screams and stuff left, it's better to avoid this mod if you have sorious heart problems.

I'm pretty sure I've added a checkpoint just before entering the final part of the cathedral.
But if you somehow lost your saves I guess you could use this console command to force the final scene (it will be broken with Lorie being dead and all but still should take you to final boss level) - CauseEvent windupjohn

Seems like you softlocked yourself just before the final fight, you were supposed to walk closer to her and then a cutscene would trigger. By killing her you broke a scripted sequence. You need to load the latest save you had before killing her.
