@woahepic, the 2 player maps work with the built-in multiplayer. By having a controller plugged in, joining the 2-player maps will make your keyboard player 1, and your controller player 2. If you enable Split-Screen in the settings menu, then the screen will be split, however only the sounds as heard from player 1 are heard. If you don't enable split-screen in the settings, then the camera performs more like Mortal Kombat and tries to keep both players on the screen at once.

how does 2 player even work?
Chainmail4skinMonster 8 Dec, 2024 @ 11:06pm

Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 24 Aug, 2024 @ 11:03pm
Everyone who still watches this mod, it's been updated. This is the last update for this mod that'll come from me, I believe I've fixed everyone's gripes with it and come up with middle-grounds that everyone can be happy with. I hope you all continue to enjoy the mod for many years to come. If not, oh well, I tried.
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 21 Aug, 2024 @ 2:23am
@maegull congratulations you convinced me to update a 4 year old mod. There's no more music among other Changes/Fixes (change notes), have fun.
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 20 Aug, 2024 @ 3:44pm
@a crowd of at least 30 ninjas the music is Clubbed to Death from the Matrix
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 20 Aug, 2024 @ 3:43pm
@maegull the last paragraph before the Known Bugs section explains how to remove the music and add back footsteps. Just enter the XML file for the map and remove the line that defines the sound hotspot
maegull 16 Aug, 2024 @ 8:58pm
is there any way to disable the music? i wanna listen to my own music and just kinda turn my brain off for a while.
exactly 1 knight 16 Sep, 2023 @ 9:09pm
What is the music? I swear I've heard it before but I can't put my finger on it.
madmaddox2011 17 Dec, 2022 @ 3:25pm
good work! one thing i would add tho is this ass a custom character that would be epic!
Wyvern_251 8 Apr, 2022 @ 8:02pm
so...I kinda killed the god as a mortal, I did it by using the supershield mod and one shot the god
THE peurucks 13 Jan, 2022 @ 2:35pm
timmybim i figured a way to make them immortal but not like the mod does
Theonewhois 20 Jun, 2021 @ 10:44am
How did u get it so the characters are immortal and launch very far?
Theonewhois 20 Jun, 2021 @ 10:25am
I have a suggestion if your still doing those, can you make it so the staff and things like that, that do knockback damage type launch as well?
FluokcyieAI 31 Aug, 2020 @ 5:38am
How did you do so that God is immortal and very fast? Please respond!
dmcressman 17 Jul, 2020 @ 8:36pm
I love the mod! I have some suggestions, butt you don't have to do them if you don't want.

I only have 3 suggestions, maybe make the god bigger, make the god jump higher, and maybe add a weapon option? Do what you will.
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 29 Jun, 2020 @ 8:01am
You can do whatever you want with the mod personally, I would just prefer if you didn't re-upload it as your own mod with whatever changes you've made.
OnyxBornn 29 Jun, 2020 @ 2:30am
Can I replace the music with my own or is that a no go
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 29 Jun, 2020 @ 1:50am
I tried experimenting with this through the last update but ended up having to revert it because it didn't work correctly, but I would only make such a variation of levels if I could include sub-menus or categories without needing to add some sort of dependency.

Either that or I would upload them as completely separate mods so that there's no need to download all the different maps if you prefer to play one specific kind for instance.

I'll look into making separate mods with changes such as no music, no slow-motion, etc... probably sometime in the next few weeks. I'll post another comment when I've uploaded them, and I'll have them all link to each other in the descriptions so you can find them from there.
Bubbles 29 Jun, 2020 @ 1:24am
Could you remove the music entirely or at least add more levels that don't include the music? It just doesn't sound good at all considering how repetitive it is.
OnyxBornn 26 Jun, 2020 @ 5:28am
Thank you for this epic mod
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 13 Jun, 2020 @ 12:14am
Thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated.

- I could definitely do something with decreasing the amount that they tilt, definitely wouldn't remove it all the way but I can mess around with it and see what looks nice.

- Unfortunately there isn't much I can do with the second suggestion, as we're limited here by our own reaction time combined with how the combat entirely is set up. I could try upping the attack speeds more than I already have and see how that goes, but that's about as far as I think I can go with that one.

- I wasn't really trying too hard on either characters, just making them darker and lighter and reusing the models as the mod was originally put out to test functionality and not looks. However, now that the core is carved out I can definitely go back in and work on putting a fresh coat paint on everything :)

Some suggestions I have:
- When mortal is sent flying, the high velocity tells the game to tilt the character sideways in anticipation of landing, but it looks a bit silly in this mod (could be fixed by making mortal tumble longer before attempting to land)
- The God can move fast, but its speed is undermined whenever it goes for an attack, because the rabbit must slow down to normal speed whenever it winds up a kick or punch. I'm not sure if it's possible to program, but it would be more satisfying if the God could zip a mile away, zip back and slam into the opponent without losing momentum like you see in superhero fights.
- In terms of looks the God and mortal are quite similar. Perhaps making the God's eyes completely white would make it look more intimidating and god-like. Or glowing (?)

This is exactly what I was hoping for in an Overgrowth mod. The Matrix is my favorite movie series of all time and I bought this game just for those moments found in the movies... over the top, brutal hand to hand action between superhuman combatants in surreal environments. Music is great, the short dialogue at the beginning is very fitting for the tone but vague enough to give the God and Mortal a timeless feel. That's the word: timeless. Fantastic job!

I have updated the mod to fix the characters flipping upside down from accelerating too fast, I have shrunk the level borders and increased the force that they apply so that there's less issues near the edge of the map, and made it so the AI is less likely to run itself through the ground (though it can still happen!). Have fun with the new update o/
aprettyneatguy 9 Jun, 2020 @ 8:59am
I love the idea of this mod and it's pretty fun, it would be better without the flipping of the god characters moving too fast tho :) tysm for making this!
Jesse4422 5 Jun, 2020 @ 6:11pm
Perfect for me and my cousin, we like to do split screen but there's not enough games that support it. . . He said this is his new favorite place to go and I enjoy it too. . . (Can't wait to try a DayZ mod when it comes)
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 4 May, 2020 @ 9:09pm
I have updated the maps to no longer require the previous dependency, and have made the map slightly larger by utilizing the built-in terrain system for the levels. Now instead of needing a rock border, it simply repels you from the edge of the level like in most of the campaign levels. I hope everyone has been enjoying them so far, and remember I'm always open to ideas.
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 20 Apr, 2020 @ 2:56pm
Not actively, though I might consider making a larger map with maybe more to do than just run around. I'm not sure how well parkouring would translate with the speed but that would be fun to experiment with. That and I need to remove the dependency on it anyways, as I would like for my mods to be and remain standalone with no conflicts.

Are You still working on this?

Plump Pedro 12 Feb, 2020 @ 1:14pm
this mode is bloody hype
Auxiar Molkhun  [author] 10 Feb, 2020 @ 8:40pm
I wasn't aware that there were any dependencies, but seeing as how there are some I will be sure to include it linked.
_Ins4ne_ 9 Feb, 2020 @ 4:46pm
Hey there, since your mod is relying on dependencies provided by other mods (specifically Overgrowth Object Terrain) you'd need to link that mod on this very workshop page (there is a dedicated button to link mods). This way it the other mod will get downloaded along so people can play without having to organize mod dependencies themselves.

However, you can also simply scrap the Object Terrain mod if you simply insert the terrain information found in the linked object (from the mod) inside the terrain information of your level.
