Okey, it should tried this first. Just verified the game files and un-sub the mod. Then i said to myself. Wait... lets run the game modded version without modding anything and it crashes. So apologies, completely my fault.

Then thing is... why it crashes? Now i have more doubts about it... because the normal version of the game works fine but once i run the modded version even without mods it crashes.

Ill try that. Unsub, Validate and resub and reinstall bones and try again. Because after re-validating the data i gonna need to reinstall the bones again.

thats an annoying one for sure, try launching regular loading character closing launching modded and loading/starting new game ect, validating cache might help if you dont have anything else subbed, sometimes you just gotta un sub validate cache and then re-sub, if you encountered a memory error previously while subbing but not on this time, then you know it for sure should work, other wise its still a gamble.

I just start the game, then select the "start the modded version" it loads normally until the main menu. The if i select "NEW GAMEW" or "CONTINUE" It freezes 1 second and then the game closes itself.

what kind of crash?

There is more to do besides of: Subscribe, Intall mod tools, replace bones and run the modded version of the game? Because i done all that and it crashes.

Do you have the mod tools installed? they are required for running modded version properly.

@closetdealpool im still really unsure how or why this happens there are launching methods you can try as well as manually removing the files unsubbing and then putting them back

Yeah there was a caviot with the animation swapping i cant remember ill come back to it when i get a chance and do that part of the tutorial next my bad.

Jack would you be able to finish the tutorial you said you would make two years ago? on how to fix the crushed face and animations of swapped characters?

My game crashes before the cutscene where Whisper calls you a lazy bones. I have the modding dlc and new morphs too.

@ClosetDeadpooler as i understand it, what it technically does is only overwrite your base (naked) hero model with that of the hero's sister (dressed), everything else you put on (including hair/facial hair) will pretty much collide with it leading to some potentially silly clipping visuals.. so no, it does not change the voice or any potential interactions, or at least it did not for me.

So does this change how people in Albion are attracted to your character\your voice too?

I've had a lot of issues with game crashes upon load but somehow got it to work after following the youtube tutorial. Not really sure what causes the crashes, maybe not enough assets copied over from the sister's folder to the hero's folder idk.

Hey Chaotic Serenity, I have a youtube tutorial up on how to get the player model swapped using the modding tools, especially sense the character is already from fable its very 1-1 it will involve doing a little bit more then just hitting a subscribe button but its no more complicated then copying pasting changing names ect much luck sadly if the mod itself isnt working for you then the steam workshops just failing on one end as anniversary is in fact abandoned. You could try doing anything that messes with the cloud in between subbing to try and fix it as well as verifying cache ect but more likely then not you will probably have to refer to my tutorial if you really want it to work.

game files youll find here with the mod tools there really good for individual user they just have crumby steam support. If you watched my tutorial and crack the mod tools open im sure youll find what you're looking for.

I've searched my filesystem for the .bin from the mod, and the only place it's located is in that workshop files folder. Fingers crossed that this is the issue! Just need to find out where it's supposed to go...

I was hoping it'd go in Fable Anniversary\Binaries\Win32, but I don't see other .bin files there, so I doubt it.

I'm getting a CtD on progressing to apprenticeship in the guild like others. Where is the .bin file from subscribing supposed to go?

I know of some other games where workshop content isn't placed where it is supposed to go after subscribing, but you can grab the files from Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\[GAME ID]\[WORKSHOP ID] (288470, and 1988133365 in this case) and place them where they should end up. It's fixed an issue like this for me before.

Thats just the thing if the subs arent working theres nothing else I can really do for you except explain how youd set it up yourself (which is relatively simple) I have a tutorial up on youtube for swapping models ect.

Having trouble getting the mod to work. Perhaps you could make a video showing how you get it all set up and running?

I'll resub when the mod becomes more stable, I'd love to see it work, please continue working on it.
