Perhaps it should be rebuilt as a small grid, would only need to be 62 small blocks in total length, so not too big.

i would disagree on that personally . the expanse has shown by far the most scientificly accurate scifi ship designs to date . they are all made without sticky out bits that pose no purpious and are souly built for their task in mind which i just love . Sure your head could come up with a crazier design but theres no way in hell it would be as grounded by the expanse universe as the ones from the series.
