Enhanced UI DLC
It's a mod that has a ton of quality of life improvements, but it's manually installed so it works like a DLC and doesn't interfere with achievements.

@ -=NC=- What is the UI overhaul DLC?
-=NC=-  [author] 7 Apr, 2015 @ 5:51am
Well it's pointless now that the UI overhaul DLC contains a clock in the toolbar, certainly, but not everyone uses that yet. Even though they should.

Is this in the running for "most pointless mod" award?

Thanks for this mod. It would be nice to have this alarm clock for Civ Beyond Earth, too.

Darn, I was hoping that it allowed an in-game turn-timer, so you could remind yourself there was something you wanted to do in X number of turns.
DarkContact 23 Jun, 2014 @ 12:49pm
Nice

I've figured out what I was doing wrong and everything seems to be okay now. I only tested it once though, so if anyone has issues, please say so.

If you change it, I can use it with my MP Mod manager. Not sure what Custom entry points are for. Therfor I won't enable them in my Mod Manager until i figure out.

Probably just leftover from when I was confused trying to figure out how to include a file into another file as a luacontext.
Jaii der Herr 22 Jan, 2014 @ 5:42am
What's the reason AlarmQuitBox.xml is registered as Custom EntryPoint?

That actually sounds really good, me I worked security for awhile and had family in the military so a 24 hour clock is fine to me, but my friends had a little difficulty. Would it be possible to do like pull down alarms but still allow you to manually enter it if you want? That way someone like me can just pop the numbers he wants in but more normal people can find the time they want in the list?

Thanks :)

Thank you Author. :)

Once you subscribe to a mod, you have to play a mod game. You select mods from the ingame front menu, accept the eula, then checkmark beside what mods you want to use, hit next, then start a singleplayer game as usual.
DarknautXXX 15 Dec, 2013 @ 8:17am
The clock hasn't showed up. Is there anything additional that needs to be done within or outside the game to get it to work, like a box that needs to be checked somewhere, or anything more than just downloading the mod?

sorry for being a noob, this is the first time I used workshop items :P

This man knows how to make a real mod for this community.
Andreca1st 10 Dec, 2013 @ 12:39am
It's not so much that I play for hours at a time (though I do), it's that I will get so engrossed in the game that I forget to save and lose hours of gameplay. I came looking for exactly this kind of mod.
Zxirius 7 Dec, 2013 @ 1:23am
man... you are my hero. i mean i love this game but it's not normal that start to play at 1 pm an sudenly 10 turns later dinner is readdy....
Majicou 4 Dec, 2013 @ 2:17am
I'm only annoyed I didn't think of this.
DJUNGELSKOG 3 Dec, 2013 @ 8:42pm
I hate to say it but I really need this mod. Its practical and helps control those "one-more-turn" instincts. My academic and work life are saved, you are a paragon of virtue and a true hero NC!
logan024 2 Dec, 2013 @ 8:34pm
I... need... this...
-=NC=-  [author] 2 Dec, 2013 @ 4:12pm
I'm thinking about making the alarm info into pulldowns instead of boxes you type in, for two reasons: 1) those boxes are pretty tedious if you typo 2) some people might find it easier to do 24hr time if it's all listed out for them. What do you think?
ShedDweller 2 Dec, 2013 @ 3:06am
Force Close! Brilliant, just Brilliant. I can now play for short sessions and know that I won't OneMoreTurn my way into oblivion! Everyone needs this.
[The] Force 1 Dec, 2013 @ 8:15pm
WHAT this is awesome? Rate this dangit. xD
DC 1 Dec, 2013 @ 7:29am
I wish there was an alarm clock which would count ingame turns. I constantly forget to switch city focus from "production" to "default" 1-3 turns before it finishes building something.
And it needs field for comments as well. Because one should record his plan somewhere...

After many trials and tribulations, I finally got the forced save & quit functionality added. Boy, was that a learning experience. Use at your own risk.
Feurisson 30 Nov, 2013 @ 10:30am
Oh, if it's too much work then you don't need to do that. I thought it would make it just a bit more effective. That other ability sounds nice, though.
-=NC=-  [author] 29 Nov, 2013 @ 5:45am
A few people have asked me for the ability to tell it to immediately save your game and exit to main menu, so you have no choice. I'm looking into it now. Do you mean a "snooze" functionality? Where it will keep bugging you until you either turn the option off or close the game? Would be a lot of work...
Feurisson 29 Nov, 2013 @ 4:46am
Does the alarm have a "sleep" feature? That would be great, since a single pop-up is easy to just click away.
-=NC=-  [author] 28 Nov, 2013 @ 6:28pm
Well, you couldn't have found it sooner as I just made it yesterday. :)
fredbujo 28 Nov, 2013 @ 4:11pm
Sometimes an alarm is not enough : the game should close when the limit time is reached, so I wouldn't procrastinate so much. :P
Bladefox 28 Nov, 2013 @ 4:06pm
Ah I wish I'd found this sooner, I usually forget the time and end up late for tons of crap
Panther 28 Nov, 2013 @ 1:14pm
so simple but so good!
