this is pain. every time I walk into a fucking city all the guards just say "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee." at first its like, oh okay I guess thats kinda funny. but later you just feel like you wanna commit suicide. overall ive killed every guard in every city and I have a major bounty on my head that I can't pay off. thanks mod, you ruined my amazing skyrim playthrough.

@ratchetman2: the joke is that every guard in Skyrim at some point says "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I got an arrow to the knee" to the Dragonborn (and why NPCs go out of their way to say random stuff to Dovahkiin I've ALWAYS wondered) as a greeting. We laugh at it because 1) 99 arrows and their knee took one 2) they used to be adventurers and 3) there must be a mysterious knee archer in Skyrim sniping hopeful adventurers' knees.\
As for this mod, I love it but am not going to download it because I'm scared that 1) I won't get some quests to start, 2) I'll miss some other funny lines and 3) I actually use console to strip guards after they say that line to me...a personal joke. I'm not ... ready ... enough for naked guards to be reminding me about their knees anytime soon ;) Great mod idea though, in every case!!!

I don't get the joke. All I understand is that it's a developer comment on how greaves are no longer in the game. Greaves were removed in Skyrim, but were in Oblivion.

I wouldn't know without seeing the code for the other guys mod.

YES thank you AgentWD40 i would stand talking to guards waiting for them to say that and now they just do!!!

I tried them both ways, and with your mod first the guards would endlessly repeat the line with no lightning, but in the other order they refused to say anything at all. I also tried turning off all other mods, still no dice. Any ideas?

It has something to do with the load order. Try reversing it.

I tried combining this with Divine Punishment, but the guards are not getting explodified! It seems like nobody else is having this problem, so do any of you have an idea as to how I can fix this?

This would be disastrous with the 'Divine Punishment for Mention of the Arrow in the Knee' mod-you'd have to be clicking on the dead guards and typing 'resurrect' all the time...

A Dragonborn's worst nightmare!!

i wish there was a mod that made the guards say "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM" and all the other oblivion guard lines. i would do it myself except i have no f-ing clue how to mod anything lol

I would try, but I've got carpel tunnel syndrome and I dropped my mouse on my glasses and cant see the monitor.
