Checking the patches and the files it looks like your issue is unrelated to this mod. The patches look for StorytellerCompProperties_RandomQuest and the only thing mentioning the monolith I can find is the MonolithMigration incident which uses StorytellerCompProperties_MonolithMigration. Since the li class is named completely differently it can't accidentally patch it, you can confirm this with XML Helper.

Hi, just would like to let you know that this mod seems to keep the "Strange Signal" quest from ever triggering to allow you to start the Anomaly DLC (MonolithMigration in dev mode after pressing "generate quest")

There are lots of errors im trying to fix so sorry about the clutter and spam, but heres the log to help you fix it

That's due to a steam issue which has been ongoing for a while now causing it to download old mod files for some people. Sometimes it fixes itself after a while. However if it doesn't and you can't manage to get it to download properly by resubscribing or verifying the game integrity you can download a copy of my mods from the GitHub linked in the description.

Im having the strangest issue. I just recently downloaded your mod, it's exactly what i've been looking for, and when i enabled it. It was up to date (1.6). Now it's saying its out of date (1.5). It works perfectly fine, it's just strange. Lol

Are you playing a new game? For random quests to generate you need to meet a minimum wealth threshold. Depending on your starting conditions and progress reaching this threshold can be relatively quick or extremely long. For very low wealth starts like a no tech naked brutality it can sometimes take years to reach the minimum wealth threshold.

If you're running Rocketman it's likely that the cache isn't being updated when changing settings made via XML Extensions. As you've found changing the mod list forces it to recache things so the settings you've changed will take affect.

There's mod settings with a slider if you have the mod XML Extensions, you can find more information in the description. As for manual editing you can find the file you need to change at the location below.

I can't tell which folder you are referring to as a patch to edit it. I'm guessing it would not be easy to just make a simpler slider menu in mod options in game to edit the quest generation rate?

If you're having issues with manual editing then I'd suggest you get XML Extensions. It'll be a lot easier to use the in game menu and you won't have to worry about the file being reset by steam at any point.

I may need the XML Extensions mod you mentioned. I found the file you are speaking of, but it doesn't seem to want to let me edit it. I could copy and paste it into notepad to change things, but then how would I make sure it is formatted properly so that I don't mess up what is there? I'll admit, I'm not well versed in these things.

If I recall correctly for the scenario settings you want to do Create Incident and I think there was something labelled Quest or similar.

If you have the mod XML Extensions there's an in game menu you can use to edit the settings.

As for manual editing you can find it at the location below. It's an XML file but you can edit it in notepad without issues.

I can't tell if the mod isn't working, or if I am still just not satisfied with the amount of quests im pulling in. I've tried to follow the instructions on adjusting the frequency of quest pop ups, but I don't see any options in the game scenario settings as the description suggests, and I am unable to locate the notepad to adjust things manually. I can find some sort of Microsoft Edge link to code, but it isn't editable. Any advice?

It doesn't require any expansions. Just bear in mind as per the FAQ there is a minimum colony wealth threshold for firing quests.

So, I assume this mod is okay the remove from an active save? Trying to do some troubleshooting with Chicken Plucker's Faction Mod's Enlistment feature that add's a way to generate quest besides just waiting for them.

No this mod does not add any new quests. The only thing it does is adjust the frequency of quests.

I have a question. Is there any new radiant quests added with this mod? Like, ones that are not in base game? If I understand the mod, it just makes the quests more frequent. But does it add new or original quests? Thanks!

That error is unrelated to this mod. If you got it with today's update it could be from the main game. It looks like its something to do with firing game incidents which might be related to the changes they made for Anomaly.

A slider is required to do decimals. If you look above the slider the label should say its name minSpacingDays and next to that is a numerical readout of what the slider is set to.

That error is from Complex Jobs 1.4 Remaster and should have been posted on that workshop entry like your other error. Anyway, I looked into it and I see the problem. The workgiver itself requires Ideology. I've uploaded a fix so it should no longer be an issue. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to ensure steam updates the mod files.

This and Better Quest Rewards are almost mandatory for every playthrough, imo. Even the case if you cranked up the quest rewards % in the custom storyteller setting

Someone on discord asked nicely if I could port over the settings menu from my tweaks mod. So after a bit of modifications here's an updated version.

This version of the mod loads as per normal without XML Extensions active. However, if you have a copy of XML Extensions active it instead loads a different version which uses the XML Extensions framework which includes a proper mod settings menu for easy in game tweaking.

Making a settings menu requires knowing how to code or relying on another mod to create it. I'm sorry to say I don't know how to code. If you want a settings menu this mod is also included in my tweaks collection which uses XML Extensions to make settings. I didn't bother updating this mod with a settings menu since it'd need to rely on XML Extensions for one.
