because it was fine when i was using it in my world but when it was being used in a offical server its fuel was draining fast

so why are you complaining of poor fuel efficiency when you're not using it as intended, it's designed to be flown into space, then go fly around there without gravity demanding fuel usage and then descend using parachutes and the last of it's fuel

if you use it in gravity it's gonna need to constantly burn fuel to stay afloat and even more once you start mining

so for your gravity well mining adventures try using a atmospheric thruster ship instead, I'd recommend using a ship where the drills point downward so you won't need to have gravity counteracting thrust in multiple directions and also using a rover to transport the ship and mined cargo

also i dont fly in space i fly on earth

they fuel does not last long even if i try to preserve it maybe its cuz im on offical servers and they dont give you much to work with the settings are pretty low

@NPC how so? if you don't burn fuel needlessly you can last a good long while, you sure you read the user manual for the ship? sure if you knew what you were doing you could get a bit bigger of a safety margin on the fuel but the recommended usage is both simple and efficient

how about you explain how you fly it to space and how you fly it between asteroids

Hello, this is a great looking ship but O2 generator only connects to large hydrogen thruster below, and cant fill the H2 tank. Maybe I have missed something tho.

Hey! This is an amazing ship, especially for early game. I did adjust it to have 8 front thrusters, and now it can mine at 1g straight down and recover easily even at max weight

Hi, is this suitable for mining in an atmosphere (assuming I have an ample supply of ice)

This ship does wonderfully. All controls are already on G bar, and well placed; also very manoeuvrable in zero-g situations. Came back to earth with full cargo of platinum ore successfully. Just follow instructions. Very easy to print in survival, highly recommended!

Before I make my maiden journey into space with this vehicle, I have 2 questions:

This vehicle has Hydrogen Thrusters:
1) why does the description say 'This vessel is electricial-powered.'
2) What is the purpose of the Hydrogen Engines?

Built a few of these with my own twist, and a larger varient with 2 Modular containers and added lift thrust of cource. It works very well. I usually deploy it from my "Astral Runner" hauler mothership.

For those having issues, make sure all conveyers are built properly and fully welded.

Sounds like a skill issue, IMO.

that is not more than enough for a mining run considering it can over 30 minutes to find the correct ores

at the current version of SE, the cockpit of this ship has an oxygen-capacity of 60L, which is still sufficient for an operation time of over 25 minutes - more than enough for a mining-run. You can extend this beyond an hour by just taking a bottle with you.
In addition, the onboard generator and air vents can replenish your oxygen-supply as you desire.
The small grid o2-tank has a volume similar to a medium cargo-container, making it an inefficient choice for a small miner like this.

You do know that without an o2 tank this ship is junk for actual space

Little troubleshooting tip based on my own failure. If none of the thrusters are working, make sure that ALL of the conveyors are built. The projector building is finicky.

Great miner so far. Everything works well. Flies smoothly and with plenty of power. The only thing I've changed is swapping the beacon for an antenna so I can find GPS points I've already located. Well done.

Had to build a bypass pipe to get it to work. Didn't work at first because you have to turn-it-off-turn-it-back-on-again in this game all the time. Started working. Everything was built and running, but the tank just *refused* fill. Probably not your build, but just Space Engineers Things™

this ship is severely bugged for some reason, basically unusable on the moon, possibly even anywhere else as well

Made this yesterday. Great vehicle to use in survival. Was able to put it together in a couplecof hours with the help of a projector. Only thing that feels unnecessary is the lcd panels on the back. It utilizes a lot of conveyors and they can be tricky to get to all of them by hand. Had to open it up a couple of times to get uncompleted conveyors built so the thrusters were lit.

Not sure what's happened but for some strange reason the ship sinks when moving forward.

Maybe that’s how sorters are supposed to work. But after removing only the two hydrogen engines from the ship, the six thrusters connected through the sorters can no longer receive hydrogen while other thrusters work fine.

Sorters only affect solid items. Oxygen and Hydrogen can travel unrestricted through a connected network, no matter the sorter-settings or direction.

To answer my own question: The hydrogen engine does the magic.

How do you get the rear thrusters to work? When I trying building the ship manually the sorters seem to block hydrogen from passing.

Solid, inexpensive small grid miner. Easily 3D printed. Could use a projector in the base design, but easy enough to add one without compromising the rest of the ship. It helps that it is also good looking.

This is one of the best miners Ive come across, I added a few tweaks of my own, projector, another small hydrogen tank, theres so much room under the hood if you know where to look, lol. Great work.

I just went through some creation on workshop (i'm basically new to the game, so i was finding some functional ship to start exploring and stuff) and i found your desing of space mining ship and the only thing i can say is thank you.
This ship works perfectly fine, it took some time to build but it's perfectly functional!!

for what i see normally on the workshop this is very well and cheap to put together you deserve more praise.

do you have inertia dampners on?
do you have the thrusters on?

why wont it stay in the air
