Soy cubano y este mod no tiene prácticamente nada que ver con las tropas cubanas. Mucho menos en 1980. Ni las armas, ni los uniformes, cascos, chalecos.....no se asemeja ni a las FAR ni al MININT. Buen intento, pero haz dado demaciado lejos del blanco.

Yes, If you can change the camo to grey lizard camo and officers did not use berets they used patrol caps. The cuban army never used ak74 only akm, pm63, amd -65 and other ak variants in 7.62x39 for infantry rifleman and for officers they normally used the akms or just a pm.

I also use the cup olive green uniform as not all uniforms were the elf leaf i use the pateol cap aswell but this mod is realy good

Me grandad was in the cuban revolution and fought with castro before escaping th country and moving to spain were he had my mum but im half english half spanish me dad is from liverpool uk 🇬🇧🇵🇷

I was thinking about that and I have seen this older armament on different pictures, as far as I can remember, or in movies as well, and that's why I mentioned this in one of my comments below. But I wanted to use less dependencies. I can actually create a new version of the mod using another AK mod as well because RHS cannot be excluded as it provides some of the Russian gear and all of the equipment. Only the tanks are directly taken from another mod. But yes, AK 47 variants can be added by request => plus one more dependency.

I think Cubans never acquired AK-74s. instead they were issued with ubiquitous AKMs.

I was thinking of adding the cuban flag as well and also 4 propaganda billboards from another mod, but it was not possible for some reason. You can actually add them with the mod @Cuba, so search for it.

You are welcome, buddy! I tried to stay as close to reality as possible. I am glad to hear you liked it and I am open to new suggestions and ideas. I am really keen on creating such historical mods that Arma 3 lacks of and I personally like this era and such exotic nations as well. The only small issues are that some of the units, being part of the vanilla stuff, appear with some modern glasses when placed in the editor and the second unit in the ZU-23-2 appears as a RHS Russian soldier, that needs to be replaced with a cuban 🇨🇺 soldier. I tried to use as less dependencies as possible. I hope I wasn't wrong adding AK 74s instead of the 47s. Viva la revolution, viva independencia!
