"Update Online Party Expressions" option only means that the mod will make Online Players' ExpressionComponents animated, but ONLY if they already have them attached by any other mod. It won't add ExpressionComponents to Players, it will only animate existing ones.
I'm not adding Altiami's OPE mod as requirement, because it's not mandatory. Also I can't guarantee that OPE mod will work 100%, because it hasn't been updated for a long time and I personally had issues with it.
Johnnyb 5 mei om 7:19
So your technically saying this mod can work in conjunction with online party expressions.

Why not make a suggested download in the desc I nearly thought OPE was not necessary because of the option in this mod "Update online party players expressions" option.
Shararamosh  [auteur] 4 feb om 16:41
If you thought this mod was replacement for Online Party Expressions, you were wrong. :hueh:
FallFox 4 feb om 16:34
ah I see, I didn't know if online party expressions was outdated now
Shararamosh  [auteur] 4 feb om 16:28
If online player has them attached, they will work. If it doesn't, they won't. This mod never attaches or detaches expression component from player.
If you don't have mods that attach expression components to online players (like Online Party Expressions), then online player won't have any.

expressions not working, I've tried everything and i believe they are broken
Shararamosh  [auteur] 4 jul 2024 om 22:35
Returned to previous version for now.
KirbyDL 4 jul 2024 om 19:18
I believe the latest update broke this mod somehow, no error log, but the game fails to load with this enabled
paul2e3sss 26 sep 2023 om 14:32
Ok
Shararamosh  [auteur] 26 sep 2023 om 14:30
I don't think so? Try disabling "Precaching shaders" in game settings. The game actually spends quite a long time loading mod shadercache. I have over 400 mods with game and mods installed on SSD and it takes less than 5 minutes to launch.
paul2e3sss 26 sep 2023 om 14:04
this makes my launcher launch a hat in time for longer

I cant wait to be kirby in online party's
Shararamosh  [auteur] 2 aug 2023 om 10:37
In my opinion Online Party Expressions is a very questinable mod on its own, but it does add new expression components that can be used by other mods.
You won't have compatibility issues having both OPART and Online Party Expressions installed as they have completely different features.
Obviously fixes I added to OPART benefit Online Party experience - all of them are also controllable through mod config, so you can disable features you don't need.
CapoFantasma97 1 aug 2023 om 16:06
In its current state, how much is it comparable to Online Party Expressions? Do the fixes benefit a vanilla game?

I'm trying to achieve the most synced Coop vanilla experience with Online Party.
The mods I found and I'm using are Party Plus, Party Expressions and Super Syncing.

ack... my bad, turns out i was straight up wrong and that the aim bug is a basegame thing! disregard my 1.5 comments
Shararamosh  [auteur] 20 jan 2023 om 22:29
I can't guarantee anything working after you disable the mod. The aim effect should get remove from all Online Players when you disable mod, however any mod I disable causes my game to crash. Disabling mod is kinda an extreme measure, not sure why you even need to do this.
Napkin 20 jan 2023 om 22:18
ack i meant to say the effects linger *after disabling the mod* until loading a new map. not sure if that was actually relevant though
Napkin 20 jan 2023 om 22:14
work pretty seamlessly, but it seems to break your player characters' head turning to look at things... thingie. regardless of fov and camera distance settings, if a player is ever further away from the camera than they usually are at 90 fov standard camera distance, their head position stops updating until they get to 90 fov standard distance again, so their head will be stuck staring off in whatever direction it was turned to before the camera zoomed out. the effects seem to linger until loading a new map... it's exactly annoying enough that i can't pay attention to anything else once it happens Help

Since Altiami's OPE seems to be pretty outdated I've decided to take matters into my own hands and am currently working on my own Expressions Sync. It will be completely different from OPE mod and will be fully based on meta data - same thing OPART and OPCI use.
You can already see what's new about Online Expressions - if you have version 6.4 or above, you should see Online Players be able to actually blink.
DeltaWing 24 apr 2022 om 16:11
Seems to be broken atm, which is rather unfortunate
Shararamosh  [auteur] 24 apr 2022 om 10:53
Both are already done by Online Party Expressions mod.
However I don't know if current version works and from what I know Altiami does not plan updating it.
I stopped relying on OPE for my own playable characters and switched to my method of syncing expressions, however I am not going to apply it to all characters and all expressions since OPE already exists.
DeltaWing 24 apr 2022 om 5:00
Hiya! Sorry to be a pain, but do you think you could have her eyes aim as well? And also maybe have her face switch when applicable?
Shararamosh  [auteur] 6 feb 2022 om 13:27
Aim sync now works more smooth with special config option (on by default).
Great success!
Shararamosh  [auteur] 13 jan 2022 om 3:09
Aim sync was added in latest update.
Nice.
rogenriganz 9 jan 2022 om 5:01
Nice

Missed by 6 days, but...
Happy 2nd birthday to OPART!
Shararamosh  [auteur] 22 okt 2021 om 18:36
If someone have "Scale fix" disabled in the mod config, I recommend enabling it and trying the updated one.
The updated one replicates player scale directly from values received from other player instead of attempting to restore it itself.
Shararamosh  [auteur] 25 aug 2021 om 7:28
OPART no longer attempts to change player's Animation Tree to the one from Sails that are Sandy mod and considers both vanilla (PlatformPlayer_AnimTree) and Sails one (PlatformPlayer_AnimTree_wSnSanims) the same thing. It now only changes AnimTree when there's a real difference between the one Online Player currently uses and the one described in its player class. It will never change Animation Tree to Sandy one on its own because Sails one is not part of any player class.

Some extra stuff to my previous message:
There's no protection from cases when:
a. Modder makes animation that is called same way one of default animation is and adds OPART support to it.
b. Several mods that have OPART support also have animations that share same name.
In both cases the animation can be overriden and cause issues like described below (weapon not being put on the shoulder).
Shararamosh  [auteur] 11 aug 2021 om 20:09
In the latest version (named Release 3.2) I have fixed error that caused deep-search animations to be able to override your player default ones.
The example of this situation is having Don's Chicken Dance animation all the time even if config is set the way animation only works in emote.
Same error may have caused issue described by ZargShaker in the comments below.
Sorry for the inconveniences.
Zarg 8 aug 2021 om 2:35
Yeah, I checked and you're right

It must be a mods conflicting one another instead
Shararamosh  [auteur] 7 aug 2021 om 13:16
I don't think this issue is tied with my mod as it just adds animations and does not do anything with weapons.
Zarg 7 aug 2021 om 1:07
In the issue I describe below: She suppose to place her umbrella on her shoulder but she instead hold her umbrella with her hand

I don't know if this issue is going to happens on your end but it happens on mine
Zarg 7 aug 2021 om 1:01
Hey, there is some issues with the Hat Kid attack animation

also can you check if this issue also happens with the Hootenanny Returns too?
Shararamosh  [auteur] 25 mrt 2021 om 14:45
The Hootenanny Returns, it's in my Workshop.

This tool should be official, it hurts that many people do not know it.
Gaia Bladeo 2 apr 2020 om 5:11
The many more jump badge seems to break the custom animations for some reasons.
Probably not much you can do about it but in case anyone got the problem simply unequipping the badge makes them work again
Shararamosh  [auteur] 13 mrt 2020 om 12:50
Okay...?

Ridley12, Knight of God 16 feb 2020 om 18:38
Ok.
Shararamosh  [auteur] 16 feb 2020 om 18:07
You need to get it if you have mods that add new animations or characters that have their own animations (like Mafia Goon or Vanessa).
Ridley12, Knight of God 16 feb 2020 om 12:28
The only playable characters I'm using are Mustache Girl and Conductor. Would I need to get this?
Shararamosh  [auteur] 6 jan 2020 om 12:55
Since it's not iterating through any kind of Actors and instead uses native function to get all GPP states, I don't think your PC will have much trouble handling it.
Asra 6 jan 2020 om 11:18
Let's see if my pc survives it.
ChaosKirby 6 jan 2020 om 8:07
Alright, thank you
Shararamosh  [auteur] 5 jan 2020 om 23:09
They're absolutely different. My mod fixes players that have broken animations. The mod you mentioned just lets you play any animation you want on Hat Kid and other Hat Kid-like characters.
ChaosKirby 5 jan 2020 om 16:41
So compared with this mod, is there much of a difference or is there one in particular I should choose? https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1841666663&searchtext=online+party+animation
Astra 5 jan 2020 om 4:00
