@rachel you mean 'muzzle energy'. and that's not all that determines the usefulness of a weapon, you should consider the reduced OAL and the fact that the bullets in 7.62x51 are heavier by about 30 grains compared to 7.62x39

@Rachel, Actually FN themselves make PDW versions of the SCAR chambered in 5.56 irl so it's not a case of the devs being tacticool for the sake of it.

When the barrel gets this short on a .308, bullet energy drops to below regular 7.62x39. Too bad game developers want things to be cool and tactical and don't know that.
