When you're load your saved game it becomes normal again.

I've found a problem! When you're clicking on the label "Heroes" in the Market, each time you click on it the list becomes lesser and lesser. I've clicked on that label about 25 times and as a result I see that there is written that there are 25 heroes available, but I can see only 1. Can someone fix that bug?

I use Heroes of Auriga, and it definitely doesn't cause any problems. Without looking at Diverse Heroes I couldn't make any guarantees, but in principle a mod adding new heroes shouldn't be doing anything that would cause such weirdness.

Can mods adding heroes affect this somehow? I'm playing with Fluffiest Princess' Diverse Heroes mod, all it does is just add more heroes to the roster reusing Units models and changing some of heroes' descriptions.

I'm sure that's not the case, the game itself tells you the number of heroes available, but just doesn't show them. I'm playing right now and I've bought 3 heroes, next turn market says there's 23 heroes available, but I counted them and it shows only 20. Also if I click on Hero section in the market multiple times, order in which heroes shown changes, but also some of them disappear and appear again.

Oh, possibly a dumb question, but are you sure the heroes were not being bought up by rival empires? I've never seen them empty the market, but I have seen them make a significant dent in the number of heroes available (and steal heroes I was intending to hire).

I've never seen that before. I'd ask for a copy of the save game, but you said that reloading fixed it, so I don't think that'd help.

No it wasn't, it was somewhere mid-game. Market usually says how much heroes are aviable for purchase, and it said 25 while showed less and less with each turn, it was clearly an UI bug.

Was this in the early game? The market takes some time to fill up.

Experienced some kind of UI bug when heroes in the market menu started disappearing despite market said that there was more available. Re-opening the heroes section multiple times changed what heroes were shown, but the more of them I bought the less of them I've seen, and in the end there was only 2-3 heroes out of 25 avaiable, few turns later hero section in the market was just empty.
Reloading the save fixed that, but not sure temporarily or not, as I was finishing the campaign by then.

Update: the new version of the ELCP had changed some values for mercenaries in the market, which are now reflected here. If anyone spots any problems, please let me know and I'll try and get it fixed in good time. Credit to Friedrich von Deutschland for letting me know there was an update to the ELCP.

Thanks - your last comment explained my misunderstanding - I thought the market was always filled up, so when I tested this mod by checking the market early on, there were only 3 or 7 heroes available.

Perhaps I've misunderstood: in the early game, you'll only have a few heroes available, but the market fills up over time, which partly depends on how many heroes get hired, as a lot of them are in a shared pool between all factions.

Yeah, someone below said that they'd not seen the market fill up, and I'm honestly not sure why that wouldn't be happening as the relevant variables are identical to the non-ELCP version which definitely works just fine. As I don't use the ELCP (instead using a fairly wide selection of personal mods that I've never shared) this isn't something I can easily check.

I might have misunderstood how the mods works - I though it made sure there always were 25 heroes available, but it seems it only increases the number of "slots" - and that the game will slowly fill these slots up?

For whatever reason, this mod seems to set the number of available heroes til 3?! for my games. I'm playing with ELCP installed, but with the vanilla balance mod.

Just checked, and there are no relevant changes in 2.5.4 that affect this mod, so it's still fully compatible. I've updated the description to say so.

It have any problems when used with ELCP v2.5.4? Just saw your mod description says the mod is meant for version 2.5.0, one version previous to the current one...

Hi. I currently use your mod with ELCP Ver. 2.5.4. and just wanted to say thank you! Although I've never seen the full 25 slots used in the marked (mostly between 3 and 12) the increased turnover is a lifesaver.

I'm not actively playing this game, so it would be helpful to receive gentle notifications that an update to the ELCP has been released so that I can check and if necessary update this mod to match the new version.
Something like "ELCP has been updated to v42.42.42, please update", and I should be able to get it checked and if necessary updated in a reasonable timeframe.
