@PuertoRicanStripeHeadedTanager nope, sorry
John Doom  [author] 2 Jun, 2018 @ 4:34am
@DarkLink888 Probably. As far as I remember, it constantly forces every minor skill to its standard level.
DarkLink888 1 Jun, 2018 @ 12:08pm
hey my other skills won't go up and when i use a trainer it just goes back down is this mod doing that?
Vegan bread 5 Oct, 2017 @ 1:35pm
@John Doom your right but the creation Club mods in my opinion are not good enough at least most of the time
John Doom  [author] 5 Oct, 2017 @ 9:47am
@malum vincit
Actually, I'm not against the idea of buying mods. I think it all comes down to their quality and if it's actually worth it for both the players and the modders.

'modder'
I hate autocorrect
Admiral Dinosaur 6 Jun, 2016 @ 11:24pm
Love it bro, just 1 suggestion.
Custom classes. Not sure if that would be difficult or not (I am not a modded, never so much as opened a creation kit) but if u could that would be sweet.
Other than that everything is good thanks again for making this
John Doom  [author] 2 Jun, 2016 @ 6:44am
@Zeinth86 I worked on it 3 years ago, so I don't remember in detail, but I know the classes should be the same Oblivion had ( http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Classes ). Because Skyrim merged some skills, I had to make a few changes, but otherwise they're the same.
Zeinth86 2 Jun, 2016 @ 4:22am
i like the thought of it but what classes are there you didnt list them like what they change so on an so on messge me with the details also does it work well with other mods
John Doom  [author] 29 May, 2016 @ 8:19am
@kickasskiller Thank you, I hope you'll like it :)
Admiral Dinosaur 29 May, 2016 @ 1:34am
yay download is finished. gonna make a new game right now :D
Admiral Dinosaur 29 May, 2016 @ 1:33am
THANK YOU. the fact that TES had been becoming less like an RPG saddened me. It doesnt bring back the number generator to determine if you hit or not but now, skyrim is more of an rpg (while still not a 'true' RPG) than it was before. I saw this and decided i needed it.

@Torch
I used to be a modder, you knew? Then Torch spared me from an arrow in the knee.
Comrade Berb 31 Aug, 2015 @ 1:37am
After going into the ' Data files ' option of the game i found 3 copies of the mod were active ( each part ) with the 4th set deactivated 0-o i have no idea why it downloaded so many.
I got rid of them now.
And your Knee is safe..... For now ;3
John Doom  [author] 30 Aug, 2015 @ 3:52pm
@Torch
The script I wrote shouldn't be permanent, so I don't get it myself. Before I upload a new mod, I always make sure it can be uninstalled safely.
Double check if it still appears enabled. If it does... hit my knee with an arrow :D
Comrade Berb 30 Aug, 2015 @ 11:12am
Im having real trouble with this mod, It seemed like a good mod at first but i eventually decided after a couple hours of playing i didnt like the lack of progression in some skills. I chose to unsubscribe and delete it as its frankly not my cup of tea, However it wont ever go away.
Ive got it unsubscribed, its not visible in my subbed items list and it doesnt sync it on game startup, but every new save i make its still making me choose a class and restricts progression in my new saves >_>
How can i actually delete this mod? Because it just wont go away :<
John Doom  [author] 28 Aug, 2015 @ 12:22am
@Cpt. Orange Juice
Glad to read it :)
Jayfeather 27 Aug, 2015 @ 3:49pm
nevermind, i figured it out =3
John Doom  [author] 27 Aug, 2015 @ 1:32am
@Cpt. Orange Juice
I'm really sorry, but I don't undertstand your question O.o
Jayfeather 26 Aug, 2015 @ 4:14pm
will this effect current saves/alternate start mods?
John Doom  [author] 15 Aug, 2015 @ 1:18am
@Kick me!
You're right. I had to leave it this way because level exp can't be modded.
DoggoSpin 2 Mar, 2015 @ 6:56am
I'd like to report a glitch that i found.
When i read a skill book (in my case it was ' Knights of the nine'),
even if the skill book increases minor skill, my experience point increases.
Is it right? As i remember, minor skill does not increase exp(in oblivion).
John Doom  [author] 19 Dec, 2013 @ 2:21am
@an Angry Child
Using chargen on an already started character may cause bugs with skills and player's appearance, as far as I know, so I don't think it would be a good idea.
BELL TOAD BOLD 19 Dec, 2013 @ 12:24am
can i use this with the Start a different life mod or not? how about adding class options to chargen, after choosing appearance etc?
John Doom  [author] 18 Dec, 2013 @ 10:11am
@Ezio Auditore Da Firenze
I don't understand what you mean by "stats". You mean health, magicka and stamina? Skills don't effect them, it never did in Skyrim.
Iraconis 18 Dec, 2013 @ 6:21am
Why wont it tell me what stats the different skills give, i ended totally ruining my current character because of this..
John Doom  [author] 30 Nov, 2013 @ 7:46am
@Izlawake
You can't rise skills that are not Major: they may level up, but never rise.
Izlawake 28 Nov, 2013 @ 6:16pm
question: i tend to go the battlemage, warrior/mage route. Will I still be able to advance my lockpicking even if I choose this route? im just a little confused, but im subscribing anyway.
Urb4n_N0rd 22 Nov, 2013 @ 5:14pm
@thebigboss94ita
Thanks, and I'm loving your work btw. It's clear you've put some time into your mods :)
John Doom  [author] 22 Nov, 2013 @ 2:33am
@Shad0w_Br33ch & ButterSword100
Don't worry. I'm sure you'll find in the Workshop another mod that will satisfy you.
Urb4n_N0rd 21 Nov, 2013 @ 8:22pm
Yeah... I can see how this is more lore friendly... but as a guy who changes his playstyle frequently, this isn't for me...
immortalginger 21 Nov, 2013 @ 6:07pm
and i unsubed to
immortalginger 21 Nov, 2013 @ 6:04pm
this is bullcrap it wont let me lvl my archery
action_boy40 21 Nov, 2013 @ 2:45am
thank you i was searching for a mod like this a long time thank you again.
John Doom  [author] 20 Nov, 2013 @ 3:23am
@Melkerull
You mean a new profile? Nope, it's not necessary.

@soggywaffles
Pay instructors, read books. That's the way this mod should work xd
Paladin Waffles 19 Nov, 2013 @ 1:18pm
I like the idea of the mod but I don't like how long it takes to level up skills. Even in Oblivion and Morrowind it was quicker. I've been playing with the mod for the past 10 hours and I've only leveled up twice with my two handed which I've been primarily using on this brand new character I made. I'm also able to level up on minor skills which you said is disabled.
Bruserud Brona 19 Nov, 2013 @ 1:15pm
Pls answer this: Do you
HAVE to make new account?
John Doom  [author] 19 Nov, 2013 @ 12:03am
@VaatiXIII
They're all different mods anyway (I forgot to write the most important thing yesterday xD)
Hylia 18 Nov, 2013 @ 5:36pm
I can see the purposes in that.
John Doom  [author] 18 Nov, 2013 @ 3:00pm
@VaatiXIII
I know that mod and other like that, but I don't like their modifications, so I decided to "craft" my own vision. Also, that is one huge mod, so if you install it it's "do take it altogether or don't", which takes away the player's freedom to choose what he wants to play.
Hylia 18 Nov, 2013 @ 2:51pm
Requiem pretty much combines all of these mods into one huge mod. Makes it seem like a different game style.
UsherOfDeath 18 Nov, 2013 @ 6:14am
I'd have to agree it's really a preference per player than anything. You can completely dominate the game at level 30 with any class.
John Doom  [author] 18 Nov, 2013 @ 3:18am
@Nimue
Most people, maybe. Not everyone, though xd
Anyway, I don't think the game can't be setup for a class system, it doesn't look so to me. It's just a different way to play, in the end.
Nimue 17 Nov, 2013 @ 5:56pm
@BigBoss and Emergediogan; I understand your points and I do not necessarily disagree with them, however my point is, that is not how the game is set up. Most people want to progress through the levels up to 81. If you go into a particular class in this game,you will not be able to that. I don't believe that is the best way to set it up but it is the way it IS set up. Perhaps with ESO it could change and by using teams you can be in a class and still go all the way through the level progression, I kind of doubt it but maybe it will happen.
UsherOfDeath 17 Nov, 2013 @ 12:28pm
@Nimue
Most people that are fans of real RPGs like classes and sticking to their class is important. You don't go tell a firefighter to arrest someone because that's a job for a police officer. Just like you don't tell a thief or mage to don heavy armor and charge a group of 10 people while weilding a sword. Mages and bowmasters kite their opponents. If you're a sneaky thief then you shouldn't be able to crowd control a bandit lair, you should use your cunning and "life skills" to sneak around and backstab people. Skyrim characters are far to OP once you're level 20 and I think this does a great job at making the game a bit more "realistic" to TRUE RPG fans.
John Doom  [author] 17 Nov, 2013 @ 12:24pm
@Nimue
I disagree, but, obviously, everyone has his own opinion. While it may be antiethical, many TES' fans (including me) were disappointed because the player is far too strong, he can do everything. Back in the old days, you were to stick on your skills and think wisely your next move because you couldn't get access to all the other skills.
Nimue 17 Nov, 2013 @ 12:04pm
The problem I see is that the game is designed to improve your character and move you on to new quests etc based on your improvement which requires that improve all the skills in order to reach level 81. If you go the route of true RPG, you may become the best/strongest mage or warrior or thief but you won't get the progression until you step outside "the class". Role playing is great but a rigid class system is both unnecessary and , in my mind, antithetical. If you started out as a thief in "real life" and you wanted to progress, you would need to learn new skills and broaden your abilities. The game is not set up to promote excellence in one area but to become excellent in all areas.
John Doom  [author] 17 Nov, 2013 @ 11:41am
@MKdjgurton
I'd rather tell Valve to make Episode3 xd
Can you make an ASCII crowbar?
UsherOfDeath 17 Nov, 2013 @ 11:41am
@ Brandy - kinda the definition of true RPG then. Great argument moron. @MKdjgurton... there's just no excuse for people like you.

Great stuff Big Boss! Keep the true RPG mods a coming!
