Very useful set!

The bug report is relatively simple in comparison. Along with some minor emiter placement issues (on the Wolverton, specifically), the Wolverton's coupling rods are placed slightly too high, leading to them not being centered on the wheel. Both of these are minor things though.

Thank you very much for your attention and all of your amazing work. I look forward to your next release.

Using the formula for tractive effort required (I'm working on a guide that explains all of this in more detail) TE=20xTxS, where TE is tractive effort needed, T is the weight of the train in tons, and S is the maximum slope on the line, a 300 ton train on a 2% mainline needs about 12,000 lbf, and the best any of the freight engines can give is 11,915 lbf. Fortunately, most 10 car freight trains are slightly less than 300 tons, but it still cuts it uncomfortably close, and for steeper lines (4% in this instance) the needed TE is double, at 24,000 lbf, which limits the amount any of these engines can pull to a measly 5 cars, which seems to be quite close to the break even point. In short, a buff on the Wolverton Goods and some of the early 2-4-0s would be appreciated.

Little bit of feedback and a bug report:

The set is generally well balanced, but it quickly becomes hard to find sufficiently powerful freight locomotives (specifically finding enough tractive effort) for hilly branchlines, and even some of my mainlines. While I could put another locomotive on, this would substantially increase running costs, and it would also be unrealistic. I'm running 10 car freight trains on standard grades of 2% or less, with occasional branch line grades of 3 - 4%.

Thanks for your great early locos and wagons. Most useful.

Thank you ever so much. Keep up the amazing work!

Some do sneak through, emitters are hard to do and are my weakness. I keep updating these packs so just keep an eye out.

Hello there, love the mod, just wanted to let you know that the cauliflower's smoke emiter is slightly in front of the smoke stack. Beautiful models!

Will issue a soundset patch for both this and Phase 1 soon, still working on porting everything.

Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful! Cheers Steve!

I think I have one more set leading up to 1923, but all these will be new models, so this will be a fair amount of time.
olaf.reininga 20 Dec, 2019 @ 8:08am
so, how many new models do you have left to spoil us with?
These are almost all brand new, guess I now know why you were so inactive in TF1 the last months
power man 19 Dec, 2019 @ 12:30pm
will you redo your midland railway mods?, they were all broken on TF1.

i mean the midland railway stock not LMS to avoid confusion.

great mods though!

Right, so that didn't work then. I'll type in the descriptions manually, tried something new and it didn't work. Thanks for the heads up.

Not sure if it's a glitch on my end, but almost all the ones that have unlocked in this pack so far (I'm in year 1873) all have the same descriptions. THey all say they are small 2-2-2 single wheelers by James McConnell

It has been noted that on some of the 2-4-0 models the tender framing is appearing as a dark red if you don't have Phase 1 enabled, I am going to do a cheeky texture fix when I get around to it. It's not game breaking but it exists.
